As Peter came home, sandwich in his hand, he found May sitting in the living room holding hands with an unknown man. Shit. The man quickly stood up and dusted off his already clean suit. He looked quite nervous and was clearly dreading this moment. May stood up as well before gesturing to the unknown man. Peter's Spidey sense, as he called it once (it stuck), didn't tingle so he relaxed a bit.

"Peter this is Nick. He is a very good friend of mine. I've been seeing him for a few weeks, and I thought you might want to meet him."

"Nick" waved a little awkward before shaking Peter's hand. 'Nice to meet you'

Peter smiled at Nick and said the same. They then sat down on the couches opposite of each other.

'so, you guys like each other.' Peter stated.

May smiled at him and replied with that she did and that she would love if Peter and Nick could get along. Nick in the meantime sat there awkwardly.

Peter looked at Nick and decided that he should start a conversation with him. 'what do you do for a living?'

Nick looked at him with a bit of surprise but answered anyway. 'I am a cop. And in my downtime I tinker with computers.'

'how did you guys met?'

Nicked looked down at his lap, smiling before answering. 'at a dance. we were dancing, separately, when I noticed her dancing alone. I might have been a little drunk, so I didn't hold back and told her how beautiful she was. We traded numbers and things just kind of happened.' Nick clearly couldn't stop smiling of the memory, and even Peter was smiling.

'where do you go to school?' Nick asked once he was done remembering the memory.

'I go to midtown high here in queens. Speaking of school, I have a lot of homework. I loved meeting you but I have to start or it won't be done for tomorrow.' Peter stood up and ran to his room. Once the door was closed he grabbed his math homework and started tinkering with trigonometry. He heard May and Nick talking and decided to follow the conversation.

'- if he doesn't like me?'

'the kid's easy. He likes you. Don't worry about it' damn aunt May knows him too good.

'I just hope I could get along with him.'

'You will. You could be like an uncle to him.'

Peter had decided. He liked Nick.

[sup what are you guys up to?]
