Epigraph
During the longest year of my life, I have waited to be whole again.
Now here you have come to tell me all of the things which you regret, refusing to acknowledge that remorse is a stranger.
If I take you back, how could things be different?
Summary
Charlie has not seen Peter Pan since he died, which is not atypical. Her life, however, is still bizarre. Living in a tiny apartment with strangers from different decades, Charlie finds herself forced to survive without the use of violence. With rent payments past due and little income, Charlie must decide if she should continue fending on her own or rejoin the world of magic that she fled.
Peter Pan reappearing after a year isn't helping the situation.
