The Exams

The dim light from the sun shines as I rub my eyes, just waking up. I yawned and scratched my head. I feel like something is happening today.....but what?
Then it dawned on me. I smile crept onto my face at my sudden realization. Today was the UA entrance exams. I pulled the covers off of me and went to my bathroom. Maybe I should....try something new? I looked around the bathroom, and my eyes caught glimpse of two things.
I picked up the hair dye and hair gel. Perfect.

It took me about an hour to get my hair done, but now I think it looks better. My newly dyed red hair is spiked up in an almost porcupine manor. I then realized I should probably start ACTUALLY getting ready. I took a shower, getting rid of any excess hair dye, then quickly changed into some clothing that wouldn't get fully ripped during the exams.
I walk into the kitchen, passing my mother passed out on the couch, with the smell of whiskey in the air.
'Already drunk and it's only 9:00...' I think to myself.
I make some waffles and look at the clock.
'Better get going.' I grab a waffle and head out the door, making sure not to wake my mother.

I sit down in this large auditorium next to a girl with horns and pink skin. She seemed..familiar..
Just then, My thoughts were interrupted by an overly ecstatic and loud voice.
"HEY HEY HEY! HOWS EVERYONE DOING TODAY?!"
Silence.
"IM PRESENT MIC, AND TODAY WE'LL BE SEEING IF YOU CAN HANDLE BEING A HERO!"
Still silence.
"TOUGH CROWD...BUT ANYWAYS, THE WRITTEN EXAMS IS SELF EXPLANATORY, SO WE'LL GET RIGHT INTO HOW THE PHYSICAL EXAM WILL WORK!"
The only sound in the room other than Present Mic was somebody coughing.
"THERE WILL BE DIFFERENT ROBOTS WITH DIFFERENT POINT VALUES, YOUR JOB IS TO DEFEAT AS MANY AS YOU CAN!"
Suddenly, somebody started mumbling.
"Woulditbebettertojustdestoyalltherobotsyouseeorlookforspecificonesnoprobablyyoushouldjustdestroyallofthemforabetterscore..."
'Geez..whoever this kid is; is really distracting.'
"YES,TESTER 1987?!"
'Huh?'
"Yes, only 3 of them up there have point values. Don't tell me a prestigious school like UA would make such a mistake." A boy with glasses popped up and started to complain.
Kirishima has to stifle a laugh.
"ALSO, YOU WITH THE GREEN HAIR, PLEASE STOP MUMBLING, IT IS DISRUPTING THE INSTRUCTIONS!"
The green haired boy stopped dead in his tracks, mortified.
Oh boy, now Kirishima was really trying.
"GOOD QUESTION," Present Mic started,"THE ZERO POINTER ISN'T WORTH ANYTHING. IT'S MAINLY JUST A THING TO GET IN YOUR WAY, SO ITS BEST TO JUST AVOID THE ZERO POINTERS!"
"Thank you sir!" The boy with glasses exclaimed.
Geez, what a suck up.

Everyone in my section was lined up, ready to enter the exam that would decide our future. I got in a running stance, ready to take off. That's when I hear Present Mics voice over the loud speakers.
"WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! THERES NO COUNTDOWN IN REAL VILLAIN BATTLE! GO GO GO!"
Most people stood still, a little shocked, but me and a couple other people immediately took off running. Once I entered the gates to the exams, robots started running at me head on. I hardened my arms, and as soon as they got close enough, spun around in a helicopter motion, decapitating the robots. I could see more robots, so as ran that way. While running, I caught a glimpse of the chaos unfolding. Quirks were being used left and right, robots were on the ground, Present Mics screaming could be heard through the loud speakers.
Holy guacamole.
I sliced a robots stomach open, revealing the circuits and high functioning equipment inside. I somehow managed to get three robots lined up perfectly, being able to just stick my arm through one robot, impaling them all.
'How many points am I at?!' I think,looking around for more robots. 'Ah, right! 45!' I head into an alley, noticing a blocked off area with robots hiding. I smile.
'Perfect'
Just as I'm done slicing the final robot in that area, I hear Present Mic's voice, loud and clear, say,"ALRIGHT ALRIGHT! TIMES UPPPP!"
I breathe heavily, satisfied with how I did. As I'm walking back to where I put my stuff in the auditorium, I catch a glimpse of the most beautiful person I have ever seen in my life. He has spiky blonde hair with piercing red eyes. He seems to be irritated because of his nose scrunched up a bit..
I feel myself blush, and immediately have a panic attack, never experiencing this hot overwhelming feeling.
'This emotion feels bad and good at the same time!'
Maybe that boy was the cause of all this, if so, I hope to see him again soon...

On my way home from the exams, still happy about how that boy made me feel, I come in front of the alleyway I killed Minkon in. There was a horrible stench in the air, as I went into the alleyway to see if he had somehow moved. When I turn the corner, I see Minkon's decaying corpse, still with that knife in this stomach.
'Guess he wasn't that important if they haven't found out where he is yet.' I smirk.
I make my way out of the alleyway, careful not to let anyone see me. As soon as I reach my front step, my happiness fades away, remembering I still live with that abomination of a mother. I quietly open the door, to see my mother making out with probably some drug addict on the couch.i
"Oh, get a room." I spit out.
My mother immediately turns to me, eyes filled with rage.
"I'll see you tomorrow, got some business to do.." the rando says, his words dragging.
As soon as the Rando leaves, my mother starts yelling and walks forward.
"Who do you think you're talking to?!" She slaps me across the face.
As soon as I hit the ground, I have an amazing idea. A devilish grin appears on my face as I secretly take out my phone and start recording.
"You're just a mistake, a broken, useless mistake!" She proceeds to punch and kick me.
As soon as I have enough evidence, I stop recording and take out my phone for her to see. Her eyes grow wide.
"I wonder what the police would say if they found out a mother was beating her innocent child." I'd smirk, making sure to drag the word innocent.
Her eyes fill with rage and fear, knowing she can't do anything.
"And don't try to break my phone either, all my videos save to the cloud."
My mother mumbles through gritted teeth," what do you want!?"
I'd smile. "I want the downstairs to myself, got to your room."
She'd storm up the stairs, knowing she can't do anything.
I'd turn on the TV, turning to the news channel. They had a missing persons report for Minkon Jarai. I'd smirk, knowing they couldn't find him, even if he was in an obvious spot. I leaned back in the leather chair and fell asleep, thinking about how I couldn't wait until that letter arrived.
