this is—well not really the second part? but it does fall into the same universe as "Tough Luck, Love", so yeah.

It was like any other morning in winter. Coldbut this time it was a little bit different. Because that morning Jeongguk woke up with a small bundle of heat pressed into his side, where a heavy feeling fell over his torso. The weight wasn't bad, rather light actually. Knitting his eyebrows together Jeongguk wrapped an arm around the heat packet, jostling it. That was when he heard a whine, it was low and scratchy. A smile slowly spread across his face, it was small and sweet and sleepy, Jeongguks eyes weren't even open yet but the edges ticked up happily. Then with all the strength, the strong (but very sleepy and tired) man could muster he rolled the squishy mass of man that was his fiance on top of him. Jeongguk's eyes, now open to catch the way his baby's face scrunched up at suddenly being moved sparkled despite the lack of light in their room.

"Ggukie," the nickname fell out of Yoongi's mouth all slurred and warm. "Why'd'ya wake me up!" The whine that slipped from the younger man's mouth made the older man chuckle. "Let's go back to sleep. 'M tired..."

"Hmm," The bigger man brought his hands up to Yoongi's bare and warm sides, rubbing at them affectionately. "Nah, don't feel like it."

And with that Jeongguk started to tickle the sensitive ribs of the man on top of him. Yoongi started to wriggle and squeal. Loud and bright giggles fell out of Yoongi's mouth. He was so in utterly love with Min Yoongi. Content and at peace with the reality of it all.

It was later that day when Jeongguk grew this sick feeling in his stomach. It made his insides churn with something he could only recognize as despair. Jeongguk brushed it aside and continued to work on the papers Namjoon dropped off earlier today, despite the very illegal and crude nature of his work it seemed that some things were universal to all types of workers, like paperwork.

Seokjin had asked Namjoon for a ride to the mall and seeing as they made a pit stop at Jeongguk's house. He decided to drag his fiance along with him, plus, it was good for the young man to go out and have fun with his friends, the last thing Jeongguk wanted was for Yoongi to feel trapped in their home.

Pressing his pen onto the paper to sign it he was interrupted by the ringing of his phone before he could even do with the first line. Dropping the pen he picked up the busy mobile, seeing the caller ID in passing and noting it as Namjoon, swiping to answer and bringing it up to his ear.

"What's up hyung?" Jeongguk raised his shoulder to hold his phone against his ear, determined to finish as much of the absolutely mind-numbing work as before his darling got back he picked up the discarded pen and in a very practiced and certain motion signed the paper.

"Jeongguk—" Namjoon sounded out of breath, "something happened—"

Freezing, body completely rigid for a mere second all Jeongguk could do was release a strained, "what?" Worry and fear slowly but surely began to fill his body, cold and punishing as they slipped into every crevice of his being.

There was some rustle from the other side, without an immediate response Jeongguk bolted out of his chair, pen once again abandoned as the man all but erased its existence from his brain as the fact that Namjoon was accompanying Yoongi flooded his brain.  "We were walking around the mall when—fuck—when—"
