Day 16 of the Attack

It's been hours since we arrived at the cave. The trivia question was easy and it makes me wonder why Max needed those school books to teach me things when I learned just fine without them. The 'we' I was talking about are now lounging around in the cave despite my warnings about the zogs. I can't help but think something bad has happened to my big sister but she did have this well planned. 

There was about fifteen of us in the cave that looked like a dorm-living room with the couches and mini refrigerator. I stood by the mouth of the cave which was now closed with Krank with guns aimed at the ground for now, but we were taught well how to use them by our elder sibling. Baby Janice was on my chest in a make shift cradle that was tied to my body. Her little life was dependent upon mine; especially since after drinking the bottle from Max she's been dead sleep. 

On the couch closest to the frige Kassie sat with three brothers who tend get very rowdy. The oldest is older than Max, his name is Anthony and he's 22, next is Antonio and he's 18, last is Antwoine who is 15 and chatting up Kassie. Who I can say is enjoying every second of it, I kind of feel my big brother senses kicking in. On the floor curled in blanket sat the quartet or at least that's what we call them. Their all 13-14 years old and did a lot of double dating before this all went down. Their like an early set middle age couple hanging with people like them. So Sam and Kate are an item and Danny and Cole are together. Lastly we have Angel  who's 20 with her two year old son Malcom. They both are on the pull out couch with her little brother Damon and his girlfriend Sarah; they're both 18. 

Arrrooooooo!!! 

I glance at the cave door identifying the wolf's call that its found our scent, it's meal. I don't know why I understand their calls, not just them but all animals. I haven't told Max but I get the feeling it the sae for her and all the plants.I feel everyone's eyes on me; looking for leadership and safety. I could sell their fear rolling off them in waves and I'm sure the wolves could to. 

"Relax everythings alright. I can practically smell the fear coming off you, meaning the wovles can to so play a game, chill out."

"I thought you said not to let our guards down." asked Antonio (Toni) 

"You already did early so keep it that way, I can handle anything that comes through that door." 

I must have jinxed myself because at the same time the door started to shift and Krank and I moved in closer, aiming our guns for head shots and with caution. My heart was hammering against my ribs almost rippng through purposely trying to injure me. I let out a goosh of air when my sister'sdull eyes stared back at me. She must of done another job. She smiles and pats me on the head,''Good boy, you stayed on guard."

I grimanced and backed up so she could enter, she had a two big duffel bags and she was wearing her adventure ware again. We must me moving to a new location far from here.

Arroooooo!!!

The stone rolled back in place just as I caught the end of the howl. They were getting closer and I wondered if we leaving anytime soon or were we fighting our way out.

"How long?" Max asked me.

"An hour depending on how big the pack."

She just nodded then pulled the rug back pulled a bar up our kart unfolded itself. I got the hint and began loading bags in while she began pulling on doors to cupboards hidden in the rock walls. They were mainly filled with maps and pencils. After loading everything up she made a bottle of with powder that looked like formula water but I got the feeling it wasn't ordinary formula. Taking Janice and feeding her the bottle, until then I'd thought she was sleep still and she'd be crying but the mother in Max obviously knew what she was doing. I really hoped that Amiron hadn't bailed because I can see that Max will wait her whole life for him.
