Before you I was nothing. Just another thing to be chewed up and spat out again like all those before me. But then you knocked on the large door dripping wet, creating a puddle on the shiny marble floor. You saved me. But, you had to be tested first, to prove yourself, to prove that you were who you really were, and I had to be the one to test you.
I didnt have a choice, but I wouldnt take back any second of it. Seeing you up there, high above me, your brown hair flowing over your shoulder lightly, your eyes shining in the light like two diamonds, your smile. You were beautiful. And when you passed the test I was so happy. You filled my small heart with joy.
And yet, you chose him. You let him swing you around in his strong arms and you didnt even give me a second thought.
So, did you really save me? Because, from my perspective, Im stuck in this glass box for the rest of my life while you get to dance, smile and live your dream life. You never truly cared about me. You may have been my princess, but I was always your pea.
