MAGGIE'S P.O.V.
I run to the window as it shuts and try to open it. When I get it open, the figure is gone. No sign of it or Luna. I run to where Lewis and Hannah are.
"Hannah, Lewis! Luna is gone and a mystery figure just left out the window! Wake up!" I yell and they both bolt up. "What do you mean?!" Lewis asks. "I mean, SOMEONE FUCKING KIDNAPPED LUNA!" I say. "Alright, alright. Let's just calms down I'm sure-" Hannah starts but I cut her off. "No! We need to leave and find her now!" I look back and forth between the two of them. My eyes then land and stay on Lewis. He stares at me then sighs, "Alright, let's go." he grabs my hand and we walk out of the room and towards the exit.
LUNA'S P.O.V.
I am being carried, carelessly in a burlap sack. I have no clue where I am. I try to scream but there is something covering my mouth. I can't move either. I don't feel any ropes or anything tied against me. I think the bag is just so small I'm tightly compacted into it. We stop moving.
I'm gently lowered to the ground and let out of the bag. Before I can run someone grabs me tightly. There was apparently tap on my face 'cause when they pulled it off it hurt like hell! They force me to sit down. I stop struggling and sit still. The person has a mask on. They slowly take it off.
"MRS.RODGERS?!" I yell as she takes the mask fully off. "Shhhhh!" she says. "What are you gonna do with me?" I ask, afraid of what might happen. "I need you to put a good word in for me at the orphanage. After I lost my job I also lost my house. And my car. I've had to sell almost everything I got so I can afford food. Please Luna, help me. I need you." she explains. I don't feel sorry one bit! "I'm sorry Mrs.Rodgers but I've been adopted so I don't live at the orphanage anymore." I say, crossing my arms in front of my chest.
She laughs in my face. "You?! Adopted? That's the most absurd thing I've ever heard!" she says, still laughing. "Well, it's true." I say. "Listen here you little twat! I've tried being nice, now you tell them to hire me back or else it's bad news for you missy!" She tells me through clenched teeth. I stare her right in the eyes just like I did the day she got fired. She stepped back a little. "Who gave you a backbone?" she asked. I don't answer. I still just continue to stare at her. She turns her back and is looking through a bag that is beside the one she had me in. I take this time as an advantage to run and take my phone out to call Bo.
Mrs.Rodgers notices that I made a run for it and calls for me to get back. I just keep running. What a nice way to spend my last night in Bristol. Running for my life so I can escape a crazy ex-teacher.
Bo answers, his voice low and tired. "Hello?" he asks. "Bo!" I say loud and out of breath. "I need help. Please! Meet me at Louis' Cafe (idk if that's real or naw. Just made it up. If it is real then lemme know. Mmkk boo boo? God I'm weird.) And call the police while you're at it. Thanks." I say and hang up.
BO'S P.O.V.
"Wait! Luna!" I yell but it's too late. She hung up. Kadie rolls over. "Who was that?" she asks as I jump out of bed. "Luna. She sounded like she was in trouble. She also said to call the cops and meet her at Louis' Cafe. You remember where that is right?" I explain as I put pants on. "Of course! It's at the corner of-" I cut her off. "Good. Just get dressed. I'll call the cops. Then we'll head out. "Alright." She says picking up her phone and grabbing a t-shirt and pants. "Hello? Yes. Um, we have a bit of an emergency at Louis' Cafe at the corner of St.John's and Rose Lane (again. just made that up. if it's not real don't hate. just trying to make it interesting.) Thank you. Bye." I says and we race out the door.
LUNA'S P.O.V.
I get to Louis' and hid behind the rubbish bin. Panting. Hoping I was far ahead of her and that Bo and the police were close. I hear footsteps. They're getting closer. "Come on out you brat!" I hear her spat. I peer around the bin and see her. She's holding a large chef's knife in her hand. She looks down at me throws the knife. "There you are!" She yells. The knife lands on the ground right beside me. She runs for the knife but I grab it. She grabs my wrist and I let the knife go, she hold my wrist in one hand and the knife in the other. She twists my arm so that they're behind my back and the the knife is pressed against my neck.
I hear sirens. I hear cars moving fast and towards us. Headlights blind me. "Stop where you are. Drop your weapon and let the child go." I hear a man say. Finally!
MAGGIE'S P.O.V.
We go out of YogTowers and see police cars race down the road. I look at Lewis and we follow them. We can't keep up on foot. We lose them. I listen for the sirens. "This way!" Hannah says running down St.John's. We follow her and I see the cop cars again. I also see people running on the sidewalk in front of us. I get closer to them.
"Bo?!" I call out. He turns and looks at me. "Maggie, right?" he asks. "Yeah. Where are you running to?" I ask him. "To help Luna. She called me and told me to call the cops and meet her at Louis'. I was scared out of my mind and I still am." He explains. "Let's keep moving then." I say. He nods and we continue to run.
I see more police cars parked at Louis' and see.... MRS.RODGERS?! Holding a knife up to Luna's neck. "Luna!" Bo calls out. We try to get closer but the police officers push us away. "You'll have to stand back while we handle this." the officer says. We nod. I watch patiently, as they try to get Luna away from Mrs.CrazyPants.
They're forced to use weapons. I can't watch. I hear a taser spark. Then I hear the sound of a body hitting the ground. When I open my eyes I notice I was huddled up in Lewis' arms. I look over at the unconscious body on the ground. Luna hesitates, then comes running towards us. I pull her into a hug. She's pulled away from me. Bo has Luna by her shoulders.
"We're leaving. Now." He says firmly. "Bo.." Kadie says, rubbing his shoulder. He shakes her hand off him. "I said now." He looks at the ground and pulls Kadie and Luna away with him. Tears form in my eyes. My best friend, is gone. She's really gone. I start sobbing and Hannah pulls me into a hug.
*cue montage of all the cute things Maggie and Luna did togeter.*
*Cue tears*
