"Thank you so much for letting me know what's up. So how did Zoe end up in the hospital anyways ?" Ella asked once we got inside the hospital. We signed in and got our visitors ID. We got directions to Zoe's room and headed there. We stepped inside the elevator.

"Her mother gave her all the fruits she was allergic to." I spoke and braced for Ella to yell. When she didn't respond I turned to see her face was red, she was mad mad. I've never seen her this mad. She just breathed and held a very tight fist.

"She did what?" Ella spoke slowly and before I could answer the elevator doors open and there we saw Jace and Sean.

"Riele!" Sean yelled and I grabbed Ella's tight fist and guided her to our guys. We all stood in a waiting room.

"Oh Ella, um hey." Sean awkwardly got out his mouth. I saw him blush but it was gone as soon as it came. He turned his attention on me and gave me a hug. "Thanks so much for coming Rie. Jace is my man but we were both losing it here without you." He smiled and stepped away to fill up a cup with ice. He stood by the ice machine and Jace just gave Ella a hug and he must have whispered something in her ear because she walked over to Sean after they let go.

"So you bring Ella?" Jace smirked at me.

"What ? She cares about them." I innocently said.

"It's her birthday, she doesn't need to be around this mess." Jace scolded.

" If she would have found out about this and knew she could have been here but wasn't that'd be my ass and yours. She canceled her plans to be here right now. Birthday or not, she'll drop it all for Sean and Zoe." I proudly defended my choice in bringing Ella.

"I see what you're doing you little sneak." Jace cuts in my train of thought. He looks at me and I just smile.

"She's 18 now." I smile and Jace rolls his eyes.

"Which makes everything legal, he can ask her out." Jace finishes. My eyes widen in shock.

"He wants to ask her out ?"

"Of course. I know you just saw the blush on his face when he saw her. He's always liked Ella but he just felt wrong about it because she was much younger. She's the first female aside from everyone he knows to really take an interest in him and his daughter." Jace explains.

"But that's just how Ella is. A genuinely caring person." I nod, slowly understanding it.

"That's exactly what he needs. But he wouldn't pursue anything with her because a 21 year old man and a 17 year old girl isn't exactly acceptable." Jace further explains and it finally clicks.

"Wow, okay lets watch them." I say more excited than I was before. We watch them talk and laugh. Ella puts her hand on Sean's arm and she smiles sadly at him. He just hangs his head and his shoulders deflate. She pulls him into a hug and he buries his face in her neck and hugs back tightly. He takes in really huge breaths which means he's crying.

"Come on, lets give them this and go see Zoe." Jace whispers and I follow as he guides me. We stop outside her room and I see my niece inside, hooked up to a machine.

"She's going to be okay." I state more than ask.

"Yeah I didn't ask for specifics but the doctors and nurses assured us that she's going to be okay. Luckily she was only allergic to just one fruit and it isn't a severe allergy anymore but because it's her first allergic reaction it was wise to bring her in just to be sure. We got lucky, they're going to do a full test on everything she is allergic to now and once we have those results she can go home." Jace explained but all I heard was that my baby will be coming home.
