" Babe, that was so COOL !" Jace yelled out in the parking lot. I just laughed off my embarassment because everyone within 5 miles just heard him.

" Alright, get in the car." I pointed to the locked doors and he unlocked them then we got in. He pulled out my sonogram pictures and I watched the smile on his face grow. He was glowing. I kissed his cheek.

" I am so happy we're having a baby. Damn, I want him now. " Jace teased and I plucked his shoulder.

" Well we won't know if it's a boy or girl for a while so calm down. " I sat back in my seat for a second and breathed. I'm pregnant and really having Jace's baby. Wow, we've come a long way. I am in no way fit for this.

" Hey Ri, you know you got this right ?" He honestly believes I'll agree with him. It hurts that much more because I can't. I sighed and he smiled sadly already knowing my answer. He just kept quiet and drove off.

" I'm sorry ." I apologized, not knowing what for. He just shook his head.

" Don't be, I know in due time you'll shock yourself. Then you'll be thanking me for always having that faith in you." Jace soothed. I hope he's right, I really want to be a good mother. I just unfortunately don't know the first steps in how to do that. I rubbed my belly, knowing it calmed me more. One step at a time, one day at a time.

I noticed too late that Jace drove straight passed our street to go home. I also noticed where he was headed, Publix. Did he want some cookies already? He literally just had some last week. He parked the car and eagerly got out. He opened my door, unbuckled my seatbelt and yanked me out the car.

" Ouch you turd !" I hit his arm. He just acted like I hadn't even touched him. Stupid beef head. Once we were inside, he ran straight to the bakery section while I grabbed a cart and decided to do a little grocery shopping. We needed some more small stuff like bread, eggs, milk and apple juice.

I had got everything but the apple juice when someone else's cart ran into mine. It wouldn't normally be a big deal but because I was standing on my cart to get the apple juice and nearly fell, I was upset.

"Hey, this aisle is not that damn crowded !" I snapped on the dude in front of me. He was tallish and light skinned. He had short, brown hair that was held back with a headband and he reeked of playboy. With tan skin and hazel eyes, he stood to be decently attractive. However, he had nothing on my baby.

" My bad princess, how about I buy your groceries to make it up to you ?" He smiled at me, as if a smile will fix the fact that I nearly died.

" No. How about you just watch where you're going next time." I tried to get away after that but his cart was still in front of mine and he was pushing me back.

" The hell?" I asked him patiently. He just smirked.

" Listen princess, I said I'm sorry. Let me show you I'm a real man and take care of all that for you." He tried again.

" No thank you." I pushed my cart only for him to cancel out my action with an equal action of his. I groaned. Jace will get us banned from Publix if he comes around. " I have a husband, please stop pestering me so I can find him and go home."

" what kind of dumb husband leaves a beautiful girl like you all alone ?"

" what kind of dumbass runs into the literal only other cart in the aisle ?"

He smiled thinking I was playing into his game and flirting with him. However I spotted my beautiful ass husband walk passed the aisle I was in and it'll only take him 5 seconds to realize he just looked and saw me.
