Unknown's P.O.V
(What happened the night Ivy died)

I quickly hid behind a tree on the sidewalk when I saw Leah wiping her tears as she came out of Ivy's house.
I could see that she'd been crying a lot. She began running.

I followed her. I wanted to make sure of her safety. I saw that she turned at the next street which led to the house. I was relieved.

How could Ivy make her cry? She was supposed to be her friend.

I wanted to go all the way until she reached but I knew she'd be okay. The distance left to cover was not much.

So I turned. I started walking towards Ivy's house. I needed answers. Ivy would have to answer a lot of questions that night, for the last time.

I walked faster. I felt the adrenaline rise.

I was at the door when Ivy's mom pushed it open. She looked frantic.

Her eyes registered who I was. There were tears in her eyes as well.

"Hey, I haven't seen you in a long time." She put on a fake smile for me.

"Yeah I've been busy." I put on a smile matching hers.

"I was just passing by. I called Leah but she wouldn't pick up so I thought she might be here since the two are best friends." I told her smoothly. I could lie smoothly. Perhaps this is the best gift I possess.

"No, she isn't here. I came to lock the door and I found you." She laughed dryly.

"Okay. I should go then. It is getting late." I said.

We exchanged "byes" and I heard the automated door lock clink behind me.

I cursed under my breath. I felt angry.
_______

"What happened to Leah!?" I shouted.

I met her on the stairs leading to her room.

"She just left. Why? What are you doing here? Did Leah tell you? No she couldn't." Ivy said.

"What's wrong?" she asked, trying to keep her cool. But it was drowned by another sound. It seemed like her parents were fighting. Good for me, I thought.

I put my hand around her mouth and I whispered close to her ear.

"Let's go to your room. We will talk there."

"I will not go anywhere."

I pushed her inside her room and I shut the door.

"Why are you here? At this time of the night?!"

"Thats not the point! Tell me why she was crying when she left your house!" It was becoming difficult for me to keep my calm with every passing second.

First she makes Leah cry and now she questions me. This girl is making matters worse for herself.

"How do you know she was crying?" she asked, not realizing the trouble that she was getting her self into with every word.

"How did you know she was at my house. What were you doing outside my house when she left? I don't get it. " A look of realization washed over her face.

"Oh my god! You were following her!" she said when I didn't reply.

"I dont have time for all this...."

"You are the stalker aren't you? She told me that someone was following her, but she never would've guessed it was you, hell no one would've." She yelled.

"Answer me!" I yelled back.

"You never cared for her, did you? I need to tell her! Get out of my way!" Ivy said, unfazed by my outrage.

"You shouldn't have made her cry." I said slowly, meaning every word.

"What?"

"You are gonna pay for it"

"Just wait till i tell her about you!" Ivy looked determined.

"You shouldn't have hurt her!"
..........

I watched as tears streamed down her eyes. Her cheeks were red, and her continuous sobs made it difficult  for her to speak.
Seeing the bottle of pills in my hands, her eyes showed fear.

"Please don't do this!" She cried out. But there was no one who could hear her pleas.

"Now now, we don't have much time do we? Quickly put those pills in your mouth and swallow them!"

"Why are you doing this?! I'm sorry, whatever I said to Leah was out of anger."

"Well we do have to give people a story now. Poor Ms. Ivy Carter couldn't handle the troubles at her home and decided to end her life after losing the only true friend she had. How sad!" I ignored her words.

"No! Why are you doing this to her? What has she ever done to you?"

"For someone who is going to get killed in a few minutes, you surely are quite brave."

I grabbed her wrists with one hand and tried to shove those pills in her mouth from the other.
She squirmed all over the place and I enjoyed every second of it. She tried her best to get out of my clutches, but eventually her body gave up. One by one I crammed the pills in her mouth till the bottle was empty.

The look on her face satisfied me.
She looked so awfully hopeless. She had accepted her fate.

Her body became weaker with evey passing minute. I left her body. She fell right on the floor. Still a little air left in her lungs. Looking right at me, she must be cursing her fate.

Her face, so beautiful in life was frozen, eyes open, mouth slack, as she was propelled backward. The room was silent and as I leaned closer to her I could feel her heart thumping against her chest, begging to be freed from this torture. But it gave up.

Her heart stopped.

All this while I thought that maybe I shouldn't be doing this.

Leah wouldn't like this. Her father would be disappointed in me.

But then I thought.

She shouldn't have hurt her.
Ivy would have saved herself the trouble if she was a good friend.

I was not wrong. I was protecting Leah from people like Ivy who would hurt her.

She had to be punished. Yes, she did.

I didn't want to kill her. She did this to herself. She made me kill her. I am not a murderer. She is. She caused this.

Leaving the corpse right where it was, I went down quietly and slipped through the backdoor.

The Hudson's should really stop leaving their backdoor open.
...............

I took the key from under the flower pot. I looked inside to make sure no one was up.

I went straight towards Leah's room, and stood by the door. The door was slightly open. I could see her sleeping.
She didnt look comfortable.
Maybe because she had a tiring day.
But she won't have any problems now. I solved her problem for her.

I kept my promise.
