Chapter 19

MARK POV:

I stood there frozen in place not moving a muscle as my brother Johnny and the girl next door Jennie stared at me with a girl on my back and to make it worse it was Yeri.

"So what have you guys been up to?" Johnny asked still with a smirk on his face

"Um w-well...you see we-"

"Mark was helping me keep up with my school since I've been struggling with my English class" Yeri said cutting me off lying

Thanks for the save Yeri.

"Well that's nice of you Mark" Jennie said with a smile on her face

"Yeah that's nice and all buuut..." Johnny then sized me up smirking "why is Yeri on your back huh?"

"Ugh well her legs fell asleep and she needed someway to get downstairs so I decided to carry her" I said

Johnny then nodded but I can tell he didn't believe me or Yeri even though I was actually telling the truth.

"Well what did you guys need downstairs?" Jennie asked

"We kinda got hungry so we wanted some food" Yeri said "by the way Mark can you place me on the couch I know I'm a bit heavy" Yeri added

I nodded and went to the couch and placed her softly down.

"Hey about we make cookies and eat them together?" Jennie asked while getting excited

"Well we-"

"That would be great!" Johnny said cutting me off  "Better yet I'll call the boys to come over and you can call the girls over since I'm in the mood of having company" Johnny added not making this Situation easier for me

Jennie nodded happily and went to the kitchen to get started baking.

"Hey Mark you mind helping me bake the cookies for a bit until the girls come, I would ask Johnny but he's not the best at baking" she said giggling

I felt my cheeks heat up as she smiled at me wanting to bake cookies with her.

Wow I can get closer to Jennie this way and maybe we ca-WAIT.

I then realized I'm missing a key word in this situation that's holding me back from this

BAKING!!!!!!

Mark what are you thinking....you can't even crack an egg for peeps sake, DO NOT ACCEPT.

"Okay I'll help!!!"

GOD DAMN IT MARK!!!

I the got up from the couch and headed to Jennie to bake with her.

Yeri Pov:

I watched as Mark got up and began to help the girl leaving me and Johnny alone on the couch.

"Well he got up to help fast" I said while having a weird feeling in my stomach.

"Yeah well it's kinda obvious why he got up so fast to help her" Johnny said chuckling

I then looked at Johnny confused on what he was talking about.

"What you mean?" I asked

"It's pretty obvious just look at him"

I then looked at Mark as he was helping her and saw how his eyes were glued to Jennie not even paying attention to stirring the bowl.

He's really got his eyes on her...

"You see what I mean now" Johnny said smirking

I honestly had an idea but my mind didn't like the idea at all so I just ignored and rolled my eyes.
