Splat zones, the only rank I'm actually good at and here I am arguing with my team because we lost. It was pointless really. I sighed as I left the lobby and sat at one of the free tables in the square. I needed to chill out after that heated fight.

"Heya Cosmi, why the long face? C'mon, don't tell me you're salty again!" I'm not surprised that my best friend Kenna had found me, "I'm trying not to be..." she'd been my best friend since I was just a little squid. "Pssssh, at least you're trying!" she giggled. "Anyways, didja get Yosho's text? He invited you to his party tonight of you didn't see it." I took out my phone and tap on my texting app, reading over the message. "I... He knows I'm not good around people..." one of my tentacles covered my left eye.

"Yeaaaaah but! You can make new friends! Tell ya what, I'll stay near you throughout all of it and help you out!" she smiled, I sighed and nodded. This isn't the first time I felt uncomfortable at the thought of being around others. I guess I was born as the shy type and because of that, I'm taken advantage of but, I don't need the eyes of anyone's guilt. If I could feel confident enough in myself one day then maybe I wouldn't be called an 'emo' or something like that, no hate towards emos but I'm not one of them.

"Great! I'll pick you up at 8! Wear something hot or something, you needa a boyfriend." she winked, I blushed and hid my face in one of my long tentacles, "I-I don't want a boyfriend!" Kenna just laughed, "You're so adorable when you get embarrassed!" she walked away, leaving me to whine in my light-purple tentacles. My past relationships were horrible, I can't count the many times I was used so I decided I completely didn't need someone in my life anymore. It wasn't a phobia or fear, it was just for my own good I guess.
