To make a quick recap.
After reading the letter I quickly entrusted my work to my close aids. Said goodbye to my brother. Made a deal to gain some information and set off for my mission.
"Who are you?! What are you doing in Aruji-sama's room?! Answer me!"
I too would like to know how I ended up like this, but I learned not to question myself on certain thighs.
Right now I'm in a japanese styled room. Sunlight is raining down from the window. A brown haired man is standing by the open door, he is the one who shouted some seconds ago.
Suddenly I found myself yanked by my collar and jolted violently by said man. His facial muscles and his previous statement are suggesting that I'm facing an angry person.
I can also see behind him a man wearing an eyepatch and a fox with a strange pattern on his fur sitting on the man's shoulder. They are not wearing nice expression on their faces.
"I just woke up here and I have no recollection of how I ended up here."
"Nonsense! Tell me who you are, now!" He didn't believe my words and jolted me even further. His grip is getting uncomfortable.
In the state he is right now I don't want to exchange words with him because I find it pointless to talk with someone who can't exert enough rationality to execute thoughts logically.
Also to my displeasure I'm not struggling in his grip. Our regulation states: when in another world abide by that world rules, you can't harm the world citizen, self defence is permitted to a certain degree. This situation is far from dangerous for me so I can't exert the self defence rule.
Suddenly the fox hopped down from the one-eyed man shoulder to sit where it can face all of us and started to speak.
"Hasebe-dono, Mitsutada-dono, I-I have something really important to tell you. Can you please release that person? It's about Saniwa-sama."
I knew from the start that the fox was a supernatural being. No normal fox has a fur composed of so many different colors, namely white, yellow, red and bits of blue, and otherworldly aura, besides, they don't speak human tongue.
When the word 'saniwa' was pronounced I felt the one holding my collar stiffened but he still refused to lose his grip on me.
"To tell you the truth Saniwa-sama warned me o-of something very important." The fox gulped " They left me a letter to give you in case something happened and if someone ever showed up that could help you, Saniwa-sama said they entrust you to this person." The last part was said in one breath.
"Wait a second Konnosuke, what is this important reason?" The one-eyed man, Mitsutada I presume, asked anxiously to the fox.
"Death" was said in response in a whisper.
Coincidences don't exist, only fate rules. The world must have passed the identity of 'saniwa' onto me in order to preserve its integrity. If that person wanted me here then it can only mean that I have to rearrange this world to make it return back on the right path again. Work is piling up.
"Aruji-sama... Konnosuke, why haven't you told us something so important!" The jolting started again. My train of thought got derailed.
"I'm sorry" The fox, Konnosuke, lowered his head and apologised in a fleeble voice.
The conversation came to a statlement.
"This makes some explanations simpler." I gently pry off Hasebe's hand from my collar, take a step back and rearrange my posture.
