I guess this where I begin

Chris' POV

*Alarm goes off for school* Ugh, dumb alarm why must you wake me from my slumber this early. Oh yeah, what day is today. * looks at calendar, and in red marker it says prom is one week from now* oh prom.....OH! Snap I haven't asked Sam yet if she wants to go with me or not! Uugghhh, I'll ask her whenever I see her at school.
*Time skip to school because of transitions*
I start walking to where me and Sam usually meet when I think* I don't have anything to ask her with, oh I know! I'll just get her two boxes of Pocky, she loves those little chocolate sticks it's got to work!* *goes to a store nearby and buys pocky, and buys some mochi just incase * Sam loves mochi, I hope she'll want to go with me.
*back at school*
When I head back to our meeting spot I see a slightly ticked off Sam approaching me.
"Christine, where have you been?" Sam asked, and she only ever uses my full name when I'm in trouble. " Oh y' know the usual walking around." I said. " Well you kept me waiting. Wait. What do you have in your hands?" She replied kind of confused seeing as I bought something. Oh. I forgot I had the sweet snacks in my hands. " Uh.. nothing?" I said making it sound like a question more than an answer. " Chris I've known you since second grade you can't lie to me! Plus you're a horrible liar." She said with slight annoyance. Ok, I guess instead of doing this formally I'll just have to ask her now. * takes Sam's hand* " You got me, they're sweets." " Sweets? I thought you weren't a big fan of sweets?" Sam said confused. " No, these sweets aren't for me, they're for you." * gets down on one knee with the box of mochi in hand* " Samantha Evens, will you go to prom with me?" She stands there shocked, but then jumps on me and yells " YES! Of course I'll go to prom with you! But you didn't have to try and buy my feelings with mochi y'know, I still would've gone if you asked me. But I'll gladly take the mochi still, thank you! I love you Chris!" She leans in and gives me a big kiss, I kiss back. " Oh yeah, I also bought you some chocolate pocky" " REALLY? Thank you Chris! You're literally the best girlfriend ever!" Sam says as she gives me a big smile. " Ok now, let's hurry up and get to class and we'll talk later okay?, see you Chris." Sam said as we walked to class. Thank gosh she said yes.
