renjun took one last glance at himself in the mirror before walking out of his room. he took small steps down the stairs and exited the house. he quietly locked the door and continued walking his path with a luggage on his hand.

he's really leaving.

"renjun!"

as soon as he turned around, his heart clenched in his chest.

haeun was standing in front of him, only a few meters distanced them. the tears continuously flowing down her cheeks were visible, making it a lot harder for renjun to leave.

"w-why are you suddenly l-leaving? i-i d-don't get it."

renjun knew how much she was hurt. he didn't had the time to reply to her texts nor call her back since he's been talking with his mom about going back to china.

he tried to explain, "haeun, my haeun. listen to me," he caressed her cheeks gently, "i-i'm sorry for not telling you but it's just m-my life is a big mess. i need to go back."

"what about me?" she looks at him, "renjun, you said want us to try again. you said you were tired of us not being together. you said you loved me..."

she breathes, "but why are you leaving me all over again?"

"h-haeun, my family needs me."

he said, "i need to go back."

haeun forced her tears not to fall down as she faced him, "i love you, renjun. i'll always do, but no matter how much we love each other.." pause, "there's always something getting in between us."

"it's tiring, to be honest."

"let's end this."

her words left him shocked and hurt. it was just like before when they broke up months ago. same event, same tears, same reason but a lot more painful.

"let's just face it," she sighed, "it's hopeless for us."
