I woke up a few hours later to daniel wiggling out of my grip. I loosened my grip and he shuffled, lazily, to the bathroom and when he returned he asked me how I was.

"Bleh," I replied, rolling onto my back and throwing my arms above my head.

"Same," he answered climbing back into bed, propping himself up against the headboard of the bed. "Wanna order food?" I asked, sitting next to him. He nodded and reached for his phone. Obviously, we ordered from McDonald's. Whilst waiting, we argued about who was going to answer the door, but, like always, I ended up answering. I brought the food back up to bed and we put a film on whilst we pigged out and joked around. We spent the whole day in bed, talking, watching films. We ordered Chinese food for tea, which is another one of our favorites.

That was the only day we spent not doing anything. Every other day of the week we went out, doing things we had always loved doing or things we'd always wanted to do. We'd always be exhausted after the long days out, and I'd wake up every morning in Daniel's arms. I've always felt safer in someones' arms. I told Daniel not long after we met and it warmed my heart knowing that he cares about my comfort.

Daniel leaves tomorrow night and we decided to invite some friends over for a small party instead of moping around. We never had many friends so we only invited four guests. Daniel and I went out to get snacks and stock up on alcohol before our friends arrived. Daniel didn't want to drink too much as he was leaving the next day, which was understandable. I didn't see the point in getting wasted if Daniel wasn't because he was the funniest when drunk.

When our friends arrived, we got the drinks out and snacks were going quickly. After a few drinks, our friends suggested we played spin the bottle. Daniel and I stupidly agreed. The rules were simple: it has to be more than a peck and had to last at least fifteen seconds without a break. I spun the bottle and my heart sunk when it stopped. Shit. Daniel. What if this ruins our friendship? What if I miss kissing him afterward? What if it isn't everything I had imagined it to be? I was snapped from my thoughts by my breath being taken away when Daniel pressed his lips against mine. My eyes widened from shock but soon closed and my lips moved in sync with Daniel's. I subconsciously moved my hands up and held Daniel's collar in my closed fists. He placed one of his hands on my thighs, causing me to gasp. The fifteen-second timer went off but that didn't stop us. Not long after the timer went off, Daniel pulled away, tugging my bottom lip between his teeth. My eyes stayed closed and Daniel pressed his forehead against my own. Noses touching. Shit. I was going to miss this.

When I remember we had an audience, I turned my head to face our friends, who sat watching in awe. Daniel sat back down but that didn't stop my heart from racing. We continued our game and I would glance and Daniel every so often, randomly making eye contact with his and blushed hard. I let our friends stay over since they were far too drunk to get home safely. Daniel and I went up to bed in awkward silence. There was tension between us as we both got ready for bed. We stood back to back getting changed, as usual. When I turned around, I jumped back when I came face to face with Daniel who stood uncomfortably close. I looked down, avoiding eye contact, fiddling with the hem of my clothing. He gently tilted my head upwards and attacked my lips with his own. I gasped from shock but moved my lips with his. I wrapped my arms around his neck whilst his hands trailed down to my waist. After a few moments, I pulled away, keeping my eyes closed and pressing my lips together.

"We should go to bed..." Daniel nodded. We climbed into bed and Daniel pulled me close. This wasn't new, but, what was new, was the way my heart raced at his touch. I buried my head in his chest and let sleep take me away, listening to his heart beat.
