Part 4: Important information

This chapter is one of my favourites so far, it is a long one compared to the rest so be prepared, also be prepared to be shocked!!!!

4 months later

CHERYLS POV

I was feeling a lot better, since being diagnosed with cancer. "Well Cheryl we checked the scans and you are fully in remission and cancer free" Said the doctor. "But we have detected something else, your kidneys aren't working properly, we can fix this with an operation but you need a family member to agree to giving you one of their kidneys. So do you have any siblings?" The doctor asked "My brother died (I said that full well knowing he was alive but when he tried to rob me and Toni he was no longer my brother)" "How about parents?" "Father is out of the picture, no idea where he is and mother, I'm lucky if I get a Christmas card, but I suppose I could try and talk her round" "Okay great, would you like me to be here for when you tell your partner?" He asked. "Thank you for the offer but its best I do it alone" 

I was packing my bag ready to go home. "Hey princess, has the doctor been in?" Toni asked. "Babe, sit down" I told her seriously. "Cher, whats going on?" She asked me. "The doctor came in, he told me I was in full remission from cancer but the scans showed that my kidneys are failing" "Hang on, I don't understand. How does this happen? you are 23 Cher, that shouldn't be happening" "Toni, age isn't a factor, it can happen for many reasons, they seem to think cancer has taken a toll on my body, leading my kidneys to fail." I looked away from Toni for a second and then looked back to see a tear roll down her face. "Why do we have to go through so much shit?" She asked me "I don't know baby, I have no idea" I replied. I walked towards her, she was sitting on the bed. I put both my hands at the side of her head. "We will get through it, like we did with cancer, okay?" I asked. "Okay" We leaned in to share a small but passionate kiss. "Did he say how that can be sorted?" She asked. "Yeah, family members can donate a kidney" "Ill do it" Toni butted in. "Babe, thank you for the offer but you can't, it can only be family as in related family" "Well we are screwed Cheryl because your family are dick heads" "I know TT, but I'm going to go and speak to my mother and try to persuade her. I will go tomorrow to ask her."

The next day

I woke up besides Toni wanting to be with her even though I already was. "Baby" "Yes beautiful?" She asked. "Can you hold me tighter, I just want to be close to you" I asked. "Of course baby girl" She moved closer to me, her being the big spoon and I being the little spoon. We lay there cuddling for a couple hours, her giving me a little squeeze every now and then. I turned to face her, just to take in her beauty. "What the matter princess?" she asked me. "Nothing, everything is perfect. You are perfect" We leaned in to kiss, as things started to heat up. I straddled Toni, My hands cupping her face while she was supporting my lower back. As our tongues were tangling, Toni pulled away. "Hey, whats wrong babe?" I asked. "You don't have to do this Cher, I know we haven't had sex since our honeymoon which was six months ago" Toni reminded me. "All the more reason Toni, I missed you, I want you now" "Just before we get into this, are you sure?" "Yes, 100%" I saw that devilish look in her eyes, just like the one I saw when we first had sex. 

"Well that was unexpected" I said to her. "It sure was, I love you Cheryl Topaz" She said. "I love you too Toni Topaz" We pecked. "Do you want to come with me to see my mother?" I asked her. "Of course I would, I wouldn't let you go alone anyway, come on, if we leave now we will miss the traffic" I mean I may as well get this over with. "Yeah come on then, its get dressed and then we can leave"

About an hour later we made it to the prison. "You ready baby?" Toni asked me. "Nope but it has to be done" I replied. "Hey you don't have to go in, I could go in for you, if thats what you want" Toni offered. "Its something I have to do Babe, I can't keep putting off seeing her" "Okay, lets go in then" We walked in hand in hand. "Hello Sir, we are here to see Penelope Blossom" "Yes of course, if I could take your names and then we shall show you to a room with a glass window protecting you from her" "Okay thank you, that would be great." We told the man our names and got shown to a room where there was a couple of chairs facing a window where the culprit will be. "Hey you feeling okay?" Toni asked. "Yeah, better than I thought I would be but lets see how it is when I see the viper herself" She couldn't help but giggle and I couldn't help but to laugh with her. It was a couple minutes time and I heard a key jangle in the lock and stood there was Penelope herself. I took a deep breath and grabbed Tonis hand for support. She squeezed it to show that she was there and wasn't leaving anytime soon. Which made me relax a little bit.

"So what are you doing here?" I heard her say. "Look I came to ask you for something" I replied. "You want me to do you a favour after you put me in here" I didn't say anything else but Toni did. "Listen, please its important. We have had to put up with a lot over the last few years. You sending her that god awful place and then homophobia which we get most days of the week. Her ex girlfriend coming back, shooting her. Luckily she is still alive, then came the proposal, our wedding planner was crazy, she teamed up with Heather and Nick, I'm pretty sure you know who Nick is so I don't have to explain that to you. We got married, went on our honeymoon no problems. On our way back we were in a car accident, I got out with mild concussion but your beautiful daughter didn't. She was in a coma for months, she woke up and was diagnosed with cancer. In remission now, thankfully! And now her kidneys are failing which is why we are here" Toni finished. "You want me to be a kidney donor?" She asked while laughing. Before I could look at Toni, I stormed out.

TONIS POV

"You are a cruel bitch" I said to her. "Look Toni, you may think I am a stone cold bitch but..." "Understatement of the year but go on" "There is no way I would be a match" "What do you mean?" I asked suddenly. "I haven't told her this but Cheryl isn't my child" "WHAT?!! How is that even possible, so her and Jason aren't your children?" I asked "Jason is, Cheryl isn't" She simply said. "So that means Cheryl and Jason aren't twins, who are Cheryls parents?" I asked. "Clifford was her dad, he had an affair around the same time I fell pregnant with Jason. The woman he had an affair with left her at the hospital after she gave birth and hasn't been seen since" "A question, You didn't have to take Cheryl in as your own, why did you?" I asked not wanting to know the answer. "I didn't want to, I wasn't up to caring for one baby let alone two, I loved Jason though and Clifford threatened to take him away if I didn't agree to take Cheryl on as my own" "How do I know you are telling the truth?" "Antoinette, I would lie about a lot of things but not this." "Why haven't you told Cheryl?" "To be honest, I didn't want to. I knew she would be happy not to be related to me" "Do you not want her to be happy?" "Yes of course, I loved her like my own" "Until she came out and then you disowned her" She didn't say anything. I got up to walk out. "I'm not like that anymore, you have to believe me. I am glad she has you to support her. I know I tried to destroy her happiness with you and get your mom arrested, I am so sorry for that. Are you going to tell Cheryl?" She asked. "I haven't got a choice, she scares me when she is angry and if she finds out I knew and didn't tell her she would kill me. It's for the best" I say getting up. "Thank you, it's been nice to have a nice chat with you without anyone raising their voices" "Yeah it has" I replied and walked out.

I saw Cheryl sitting waiting for me. She saw me and jumped up and kissed me. "Why were you in there for so long" "I've got alot to tell you princess and I don't know if you are going to like it"

We made it to Pops and ordered our food. "So are you going to tell me what went on in there?" She asked me. "Okay, I will tell you but no butting in and ask questions at the end" She just nodded. "Okay, Penelope isn't your biological birth mother, Jason is her child but you aren't, You are half siblings sharing the same father. Clifford had an affair the same time Jason was conceived and you were also conceived by another woman, she hasn't been seen since leaving you at the hospital. Penelope was threatened by Clifford, saying that if she didn't take you on as her own then he would leave with Jason. She didn't want to tell you because she thought you would be happy that you weren't related, she said she loved you like her own until you came out but apparently she has changed and she doesn't mind that we are dating anymore, she knows we are married but thats a step closer." I shut up and sat staring at Cheryl "What are your thoughts babe?" She stood up. "I need time to think, give me the keys Toni" She told me. "Cheryl lets talk about this." "Toni, GIVE me the keys" I didn't want us getting into an argument so I gave her the keys to my motorcycle, it is lucky I taught her how to ride it. I sat in the booth watching her walk out. 10 minutes later Sweet pea and Fangs walk in. "Yo Toni!! Where's Red?" He asked. "Blowing off steam" "May I ask why?" Fangs asked. "We just found something out about Penelope and she didn't take it too well, I told her and then she asked for my keys, I didn't want cause an argument so I gave them to her. I am now thinking that was a bad idea" "Come on, we will go out and look for her. If we spot the beast, we will not approach, we shall call you" They giggled. "Okay let me knew if you do"
