“God I'm hungry and we don't even have any money,” Tyler groaned and whined. I looked at him and he looked at me. We were making eye contact for a moment and broke it when we heard a guy slurpy voice.

A drunk guy.

The guy saw us and he smirked at me walking towards us. “Hey, young lady. What are you doing out here late at night?” he said with his slurpy voice. Tyler looked at him and he nodded at me.

Oh my god. This kid didn't know how to chill, I thought.

“I'm hungry and I don't have money to buy foods.” I said to him while Tyler ran to an alley. I didn't know why he ran but I trusted him so I kept going with distracting this guy.

“Why don't we have some fun and you'll get your money?” he smirked.

After a good 15 minutes of this guy trying to touch my hair and skins, Tyler came with a brick and a knife. He threw the brick at me which I fortunately caught and threw it at the guy's face, hard. Tyler came right behind him and stabbed him right on the lung.

“That was easy.” Tyler smiled. “We must run, fast. Peoples gonna see us.” we took the guy's wallet and ran out of the scene.

It was morning. We didn't have our sleep and we've been walking for like I didn't even know how far but was really really far.

“We gotta save that money, rent an apartment or something. Get a job..” I trailed off. “Holy shit, Oli. You're talking like we're just a normal teenagers.” Tyler laughed and I did the same. “I'm being real.” I said.

“Fine then, where do we start?” he asked me. I thought for a while and looked around. There was a lot of stores we could ask for job but I didn't know if we were old enough.

“We can start a job at any of these store that accepts our age.” I said and looked at him. He looked around and pulled me to a store. Seven Eleven.

There was a tired looking guy who stood behind the counter looking at us boringly. He looked like those other rebellious teenagers, have many piercings and if he was old enough he'd maybe had a tattoos. “Heck where are you guys from?” he said. I was assuming he was looking at our dirty clothes that was covered in dirt's and blood.

“We need a job. we desparately are.” I said begging. Tyler stayed silent while the guy behind the counter thought and looked at both of us.

“I guess I can take you both but I need to ask the.. boss first and also, heck you guys need a clothes. come before someone sees and freak out,” he hesitated at first but then dragged us to the back of the store anyway. And I thought why didn't he freak out?

With us looking like this?

-

“Okey so here's your clothes. I've called the boss and you can start today and how old are you guys again?” He asked us.

Me and Tyler looked at each other and looked at him hesitantly. “It's okey. I got chu!” he winked and we sighed.

‘Let's start making money!’
