Chapter 2

KAROLINA'S POV

I was in my dorm, crying. Chase and I had a fight. Again.

We fight a lot, but not like that. He was so angry... I've never seen he like that before.

We fought because I told him I might be gay. Yes, the most popular girl in the school, who dates the most popular guy in the school, might like girls. I discovered it some weeks ago, at a party.

I was drunk. Really, really drunk. Somehow, when I started thinking again, I was kissing a girl. I don't really remember how that felt. I don't even know the girl's name. But i know it was good. Better than kissing Chase, at least.

Now, Chase is with Eiffel in their dorm. I know Eiffel's always liked him, but I didn't know that would happen. I was just trying to be honest with him, to be a good girlfriend.

Anyways, let's get back to the part I was crying...

— Hey,.. — a black-haired girl entered the room. She was really pretty. Her clothes were entirely black, not any other color. I don't remember of seeing her before, but her face... it's kinda familiar? — Karolina Dean? Oh God, I didn't expect my roommate to be someone who's not gross and disrespectful.

— Hey, — I said, lifting my head and chuckling — sorry, can we talk later? I was planning to get to know my roommate, and you seen to be really cool, but- I have to go to the bathroom — I said, running to the our room's bathroom, when she stopped me.

— Wait! You were crying, weren't you? Wanna talk about that? — the girl said, with a really preoccupied voice.

— Not really, — I wiped my tears off — anyways, your name is?..

— Ka- I mean, Nico! Nico Minoru.

— Nice to meet you, Nico. I guess you already know who I am.

— Yes, I do — we kept staring at each other for what seems to be a really long time.

— Excuse me, I have to go to the bathroom — I interrupted the odd silence between us.

— Oh, of couse. See you letter?

— See ya.

bone-braker: how did u spoke to her nico?

darkwich: SHE IS IN THE SAME DORM AS I AM RN

arsenic: WUT???????

the-wild-one: WAIT IS SHE YOUR ROOMMATE????

bone-braker: wait weren't you guys supposed to get a dorm for you three?

darkwich: yes, we were. but i was late so they got a dorm for two and i got another dorm.

darkwich: AND KAROLINA HAPPENED TO BE THE ONE WHO GOT THE SAME DORM AS ME

arsenic: SHUT UP

the-wild-one: ...

— Why are you smiling at your phone? — Karolina said, bringing me back to reality.

— I'm just talking to my friends.

— So, I was thinking... You asked me if I wanted to talk about... You know... what happened... Can we talk now? I just need someone to be honest with.

— Yes of course. So why where the Atlas Academy's princess crying?

— Haha I'm no such thing as a princess!

— I can't agree with you, — am I going too far? — but go ahead.

— Do you promise you won't tell anyone? I just don't want rumors and stuff like that.

— Of course I won't.

— So, I want to talk to you because my boyfriend is mad at me and my best friend is probably making out with him right now, and I don't really have anyone else to talk with. I just want you to give your opinion, is that okay?

— Yes, it is.

— Well, I was at a party like, some weeks ago? And I was so drunk I can't even remember how did I got home, but I remember one thing: I kissed a girl. And that felt right, y'know? So I told Chase the truth, I told him I might be gay, and now he doesn't wanna talk to me.
