Every step I take, it reminds me, he can't take even one more step, ever again. Every time I blink... his eyes will never open again. Every word I say, he will never speak again. Every morning I wake up, he will never wake up. Every breath I take... he will never breathe again.
"Come on! Let's go!" My friend Ally yelled in my ear to wake me up and little did I know that day was going to be the worst day of my life. I rolled over and looked at the clock. 6:15am. Time for school again. Ally stayed at my place for the last few days of winter break and was staying for 2 more weeks, well her family was in another state.
I sighed as I walked down stairs with my bag. Ally already ran ahead and was in the kitchen getting us something to eat as we walked down the street, to school. She was definitely a morning person and I was the opposite. I wasn't even done putting on my shoes when Ally ran around the corner with a bag of food. She put on her shoes and ran out the door. I quickly picked up my bag again and I ran out the door to catch up with Ally.
"See you later, Ally!" I called out to Ally as we went our different ways to first period. I got out my phone and looked through my music, as I walked to class. "Hey!" I heard a familiar voice happily said to me. I was the only one in the hall because Ally and I were earlier, so I knew they were talking to me. "Hi!" I said back, putting in my earbuds in and not looking up from my phone. I didn't know who it was and didn't think much of it. I'm a talkative, outgoing, person and a lot of people know me, so it didn't surprise me. My music started to play and I put my phone back in my pocket, almost forgetting about the person saying hi to me.
