Chapter 6: Bad news

Me and Gusion arrived at school's gate but there is a familiar face looking in my direction. I look at the child's eye and saw different emotions,suddenly the boy started walking,approaching us.

" Are you Lesley? " he ask

" Y-yeah " I answered,sweat starting to form on my forehead

" Can I talk to you? In private? " he ask as I look at Gusion asking for permission. He nod and started walking on our classroom's direction.

I look at the boy,he has white hair and round eyes,probably one of Harley's classmates back then.

" My name is Harith, we have met me back then and probably you just forgot about me because it's long time ago. Please don't be shock about the news " he said as he look down.

" what news? " I raise my brows confusingly

" Harley... He's d-dead. H-he t-tried t-to go back h-here but t-the-- the p-plane crashed and n-no one survived " he stated with shivering voice as my tears raced down on my face. I feel like I can no longer breathe, I cover my mouth processing what happened.

" W-who told you that! " I exclaimed

" It's in the news last night " he answered.

I feel like I want to slap myself! I want to hurt myself! I want to kill myself. I'm really useless! I didn't even know what happened to my brother. My heart can't take it anymore as it started to feel like shit. I feel suffocated, I can't breathe then everything became black.

I opened my eyes as the sun rays hit my eyes. I woke up on a familiar ceiling. My eyes teared up as I recall the news.

" Harley... He's d-dead. H-he t-tried t-to go back h-here but t-the-- the p-plane crashed and n-no one survived "

Like an old broken record,it plays on my head over and over again like a never ending cycle. I hug the pillow imagining that it is my brother Harley, only if I could turn back time. I would hold him as much as I can.

" Hey sis, when I die,don't cry. Just look at the sky and say goodbye "

These are his last words before he went to the State. I quickly went to the the terrace and look up on the clear blue sky. As a tear fell from my left eye.

Hey Harley, I hope you are happy together with Dad in heaven.

I went inside and look at the mirror. Nothing's special, I still look like pathetic like ever. Nothing has changed. I went out of the room and headed down stairs. Just like what Gusion said, I should ignore the maids' stare because it's their fetish. I quickly look for Gusion but when I pass on the big golden calendar that is standing near the vase on the corner of the house. It says December 14... What? I slept for 7 days?! I ran to the garden to breathe some fresh air when I saw something moving on the grass wall. I sneak to see what's happening. I saw a girl in a violet dress making out with GUSION? My knees feel weak as I broke down from where I was standing I heard them talking but before they caught me, I quickly ran away. Why does it feels like this? I feel like I've been stab by a million daggers. Who is she? Is she the girl from Gusion's past? But he said that his fiancee is already dead,right? I didn't know he love someone. Maybe I still don't know anything about him, I'm probably assuming things but what are those sweet gestures? What does it mean? Is he just messing with my feelings? Or he's just being a typical playboy? So many things that are running inside my head when I notice that I'm out of mansion.

I ran until I arrived at the bridge over the river, I stand on the rail and feel the wind hitting my skin. If only I have wings, I would definitely fly and be free from this world full of bullshits. I want to end my misery, I close my eyes and readied myself for the end.

" Hey miss wait! "

( Gusion's POV )

It's been a week since Lesley pass out in the school gate after her talk with the white-haired child, I still don't know what happened. I stare at her while she's sleeping but I think she's not peaceful in her sleep because she's making faces with her close lids. I heard a commotion down stairs so I decided to look for it but then I froze on my tracks as soon as I saw the face of the girl from my past.

" Guinevere? You're alive? " I ask just making sure I'm not seeing a ghost.

" I'm back Hon, happy to see me alive and kicking? " she said while approaching my direction

" How? "

" It's a long story to sum it all someone named Granger save me " she said while hugging me. She hold my hand and drag me on the garden.

" How are you? " I ask

" Fine since you are here with me again. I really miss you after all these years " she replied

" Why after all those years you made me believe that you are dead? You don't know how it pained me, you don't know what I've been through Guinevere! I kept on blaming myself everyday because YOU died and I couldn't protect you but now you are here talking like nothing happened! " I shouted

" I'll explain but let me fix this Gus, lets make up the time that we weren't together " she said as she leaned closer until our lips met. I close my eyes and savour the moment as we deepened the kiss. I grab her head as she open her mouth as I explore her carven, our tongues battled for dominance but I took the lead as I pinned her on the grass wall on the garden. While we are on our make out session we heard some noises that made us stop.

" Who's that? " I ask as we look for the cause of the noise but we found no one.

" I think we should get back inside, I still have someone to check " I stated

" And who is that? " she ask while raising a brow

" You'll like her " I replied

" So it's a girl? "

" Yeah but she's just a friend " I assured her as we both get back to the mansion and head upstairs to Lesley's room but when we arrived no one is in the bed.

" Lesley?! " I exclaimed as I look everywhere for her but I find no one and no clue.

" Search everywhere! " I ordered as the servants obliged.
