"That felt so good. I feel so powerful!" Silver said

"Silver, you shouldn't go around doing that." Amy said

"Hey, do you guys want to go for a walk?" Espio asked

"Sure!" Silver said, and they walked off.

Later...

They were standing outside Espio's house.

"Wow, this house is..." Amy said

"Small." Knuckles finished.

"Yeah. It's nothing big, but it's home. And I wouldn't have it any other way." Espio said, walking inside.

"Why are we here?" Rouge asked

"I've just gotta check on my mother and grap some stuff."

"Mama, I'm home!"

"Hello, dear!"

"So I came with my friends, and I just thought we'd go for a walk, so I'm here to check on you, since I'm passing by. Do you need anything?"

"No. Before your walk, could I meet your friends?"

"Sure, everyone introduce themselves!"

"... So, Sonic, Amy, Rouge, Knuckles, Tails, Shadow and Silver, did I remember correctly?"

"Yes ma'am."

"It's nice to meet you all. What do you think of my little boy."

"He's alright. We like him. Shadow is still warming up to him, though." Sonic said

"Ah, I see."

"Can we ask you a few questions that he won't answer, ma'am?" Tails asked

"Oh, sure! I'd love you to get to know more about him. I feel like that strengthens bonds."

"Thank you, ma'am. Did he tell you about us? What did he say?" Tails asked

"Oh, he told me about you. He said you were all very nice people,"

*Espio walks in at this point*

"he especially told me about you, Silver. He said he wanted to be your friend as soon as he saw you. He also said he thought you were-"

"Mother! Please don't finish that sentence!" Espio said running toward her.

But she didn't hear him.

"-very cute."

"Mother..." Espio said, as he changed cherry red

Silver turned his head to look at him, but Espio quickly turned invisible and ran to his room.

"Woah. So much just happened in the past 20 seconds. I just found out he thought I was cute, he can change colour and can go invisible. And that's nothing compared to the last 24 hours." Silver said

"What happened in the last 24 hours?"

"It's a long story, miss." Silver said, sighing.

"Well if you get the chance to tell it, I'd love to hear. Just remember, all of you are always welcome here."

"I... Think I'm okay now. Let's go." Espio said.

They all walked outside. The whole time, Espio was avoiding all contact with Silver. He was afraid what Silver was thinking of him.
