Manik angrily paced in his room like a hungry predator waiting to pounce on its prey. However, his prey was nowhere near as she was out with her pretentious 'fiance'. His mind transported back to the memories of few hours back where he had warned Nandini, not to go anywhere with Smaran. He had even threatened her with the consequences she would face but the rebel she is, in turn challenged him "Come what may. I will go with Smaran that too in front of you" were her words. He remembered how well she played her cards. The family had gathered in the living room to attend Smaran's family to take their marriage talks forward and she very cleverly informed Chachi and Chacha that her fiance had asked her out. Chachi though apprehensive gave her the permission very reluctantly. His eyes had grown wild seeing her smirk. He gave her a 'You-Are-So-Dead' look while she gave him a 'I-Am-Not-Afraid' look. She smiled at Smaran and went ahead with him. Reaching the doorstep she turned back to him and showed him a thumbs down thus increasing his already raised temper.

Howmuchever, he tried this girl had the audacity to defy his words and go against him. He heard the sound of the car entering the gates and knew she was back.

"No one will be able to save you from me, Nandini. Not even your Ayappa. I swear."

************************************

It was 9 pm when she was finally home. Her hands were full of shopping bags and she was in a quite good mood. No, she was not happy because she had spent time with Smaran. Hell No, she had no intentions to go with him today but Manik's negation had made her go against her own wish. Thus, she had challenged him and had won it too but somewhere she knew he will not leave this matter easily. His words "You will have to face the consequences" made her shiver. Though she had exited her home with Smaran, she had very easily convinced him to take his mom with them for shopping. She patted her back being proud of her smartness.

There were 2 reasons for her happiness one was obviously shopping which she had done after ages and while thinking of the second reason her heart skipped a beat as she recalled how Manik taught her different poses for their pre-wedding photoahoot. It started with the famous RK Nargis umbrella pose followed by Jack Rose Titatic posture, the next one, he picked up her in the bridal style but the thoughts of their last pose made her heart beat wildly i.e. the 'Jacket pose from Aashiqui 2'. She recollected how he covered themselves in the jacket and his desire filled eyes underneath. She had shuddered when he kissed both her cheeks under the coat. By the time he removed it, she was already in some other world and had naively pressed both the hands on her cheeks which had turned red. If that was not enough he had very shamelessly commented "Tamaatar se bhi zyaada laal ho gayi ho" (Your cheeks are redder than tomato).

She was hell tired after today's events and just wanted to hit her bed. She was busy in her own thoughts when she felt a sudden pull on her wrist making her drop the shopping bags in fear. She was about to scream but a palm covered her mouth and she knew who the person was. She closed her eyes savouring the feel of his hand on her lips. She hated to admit it but it was true, she was loving his touch and when he would leave her she craved for more. Though she sounded like a wanton but fact was fact. Secretly, she wished to see him before she called it a day. Her heart was thudding thinking about the things he would do in the name of consequences. She was shocked at her own excitement. When she came out of her thoughts, she started to struggle in his arms, but his one look was enough. The eyes that were filled with unknown rage and looking at them she shivered contemplating what was on its way. "Save your child, Ayappa" she said in her mind. In no time they reached his room, he pushed her inside and shut the door with a bang making her cringe.

He faced her and with few long strides pushed her back to the bedside wall. She was shocked at his actions would be an understatement, fear would be the right word. It had been a long time since she had seen him or rather drove him wild and mad.
