I hate the Germany is HRE Theory

I don't hate the theory itself but I hate the fanfictions of it. The reason why I hate fanfics of this theory is because, Italy fell in love with Germany for who he is and not for what his past was. And in every fanfiction I read with this theory, when Italy finds out Germany was Holy Roman Empire as a kid it's like Germany isn't Germany anymore. What I mean by that, Italy falls in love with Germany's past self again, instead of his modern self. Meaning he all of a sudden loves Holy Rome again and not Germany. I hate fanfictions like these. Don't get me wrong I support that you believe in the HRE is Germany theory, and want to write fanfictions about this theory. But stop making Italy only love the HRE part of Germany. Italy had moved on from his first love with Germany. Even if they are the same person, they have developed to be two different beings. Since Germany had no memory of his past, he became a different being than HRE. He had a whole different life from him because his past life was forgotten. I personally don't believe in the Germany is HRE theory. Only because it doesn't make sense. The reason is because HRE is not only Germany. The Holy Roman Empire was a feudal monarchy that encompassed present-day Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, the Czech and Slovak Republics, as well as parts of eastern France, northern Italy, Slovenia, and western Poland at the start of the early modern centuries. Since Holy Roman was all those countries, Germany being born and named as a new nation doesn't make sense. Why hasn't the other countries got reborn and renamed, they were all the Holy Roman Empire? Anything you guys say wouldn't change my mind. I know the history of the Holy Roman Empire and the history of Germany. But despite the history, it's ok still believe in the Germany is HRE theory. However, if you are going to write "GerIta" fanfictions about the theory stop making Italy in love with the HRE part of Germany.  That is not GerIta that is HRE X Italy. Whether what you believe or not, Germany is Germany. Even if he was once the HRE, he is no longer the HRE. So stop calling Holy Roman Empire X Italy fanfictions GerIta.
