I arrived at the looming castle. The sun setting in the back, this castle seemed to look grand with its white marble and gorgeous gold decorations. Infact, it was majestic, but what it holds inside is ugly far beyond what you would expect.
I walked inside through the big front doors. When I first entered this castle when my mom decided to marry this guy. I never really thought about things. I found them unnecessary. I think that I have realized something about myself, I have begun to truly see things. Now that I have seen something in myself, I can see things the way they were meant to be.
I walked through the hallways noticing things I haven't noticed before. The walls were stained a cherry red and pale blue. Picture frames lining the walls. The ceiling higher than I originally thought with gold trimmings too. This place was so pretty, yet it's the place I hate the most. I wanted to leave and I will.
I hear noises coming from my room and start to run there. I was only a few doors down. I could hear someone talking to themselves. I turn into the doorway of my room and see that Victoria had took all my stuff out of my room. She had a box in her hand and it was the last of my stuff. I was now furious, how could she move my stuff from my own room. My red eyes trained her while she moved side to side, swaying. She looked happy at what she did.
She finally turned around and saw me in the door frame. She stopped swaying and her smile faded, it was replaced with a smirk of victory. She had her way, and nobody could do anything about it.
I walk slowly over to her. It seemed like nothing made a sound, all except the sounds of me feet hitting the ground, making a loud thuds. I make my way up to Victoria, as she stood there with her smirk of victory. I take the box out of her hands and walk out of the now empty room. Walking down the hall to my new room. I turned to the smallest door in this castle and opened the door.
I look inside only to find nothing in it. I turned around and Victoria was right behind me. She rested her hand on my shoulder, "That's not where your room is. You see I found a better room for you. Follow me." She took her hand off my shoulder. I really wanted to grab her hand twist it while slamming her into the floor, but I knew I couldn't.
Victoria started walking away and I followed with my box in hand. She had a pep to her walk. Probably because she thought she won. Of course she didn't, but I'll let her think that she did. We walk to other side of the castle and up three staircases, we arrived at my room.
She stood aside and presented me with my new room. I took the handle of the door and opened it. The room was smaller than the last room. It had one really small window, three walls, a small chest, a twin sized rock hard bed, and most of my stuff in boxes.
I walk into the small room. I look to the left and see another door. Thinking it was the closet, I open the door and the small door led to a small bathroom that was in no condition to be used. I looked with green eyes of disgust. There was rusty pipes, dirt on the toilet, dead bugs in the shower, and cobwebs in the sink. The bathroom reeked with the stench of something dead. It was so bad I threw up in my mouth. I swallowed roughly and walk out the bathroom. Victoria is now gone and I release the breath I held while in the bathroom. I was going to have a hard time.
It had been weeks since I started living in this dump of a room. Victoria got worse, and I have been going out less. I haven't been outside in three weeks. Victoria is constantly beating me and making me do want she wants. I have gotten less and less sleep. I'm in horrible condition and I can't do anything about it.
I wake up in the old, creaky, rock hard bed. I get up and crack my aching back. I walk into the bathroom that I managed to get a decent clean with ten pounds of bleach. I wash my face in the sink, brush my teeth, then brush my hair. I walk out my room and go downstairs. My father was in the living room and Victoria was with him smiling. I walk over to them and sit down on the couch.
My stepfather looks at me. "Lily I have to go into town today to meet someone for work. I would like you to come with me and Victoria. What do you say?"
I look at him then back at my lap. I didn't want to go, but if it would get Victoria to stop abusing me, then why not. "Sure," I look at my stepfather with cold dead lilac, grey eyes. I feel a hand on my back. I look down and my stepfather has his hand on my back rubbing it.
"You would of course have to get cleaned up and change clothes." Stepfather said with a small grin on his lips.
I get up from the couch and ask, "Are you going today or tomorrow?" I looked between Victoria and Stepfather.
My stepfather looked at me with a wary look in his eyes. "Tomorrow."
I nodded and walked back to my room
