Chapter 7: Dum Dum's Pt.2

I get to school Monday after the fight, I wanted to see Sweetie and ask how she's doing

I searched for her the entire day but came up empty.

From the moment I heard about what happened between her and Tyron I knew Rose was behind it.

Last year when we were all friends I caught Rose kissing Tyron in the backseat of his car

I ran to tell Sweetie who only said "You don't have to be jealous of my bestie and my boyfriend."

Rose somehow got it in Sweetie's head that I was a jealous, scheming bitch...which was really her.

We ended up drifting apart that summer and soon I found myself a new group of friends...loyal ones

I must say I felt good that Sweetie finally knew the truth but it still didn't make sense to me

why Tyron cheat on her with Paige and Rose?

I decided to find Paige and figure out what's really happening

I get a ride from my best friend Sofie, shes my Ace and nothing like Rose

I know I can trust her and she can trust me

We head over to the local community college where Paige attends

we get out and walk around..asking random people if they've seen her

Finally we are directed to the study hall where we find a battered Paige sitting with a ball cap on and a swollen face

The sight of her makes me giggle a little my best friend then punches me

"Stop! before she don't tell us anything" I cough getting myself together

"Hi Paige, how are you?" I say taking a seat next to her

She looks at me for a second as if trying to remember my face and then says

"I've been better..don't you go to Finely HS?"

"Yea we both do" I say looking at my best friend

"We want to know what happened between you and Tyron.." I say quietly

She puts her book down and takes a deep breath in "I was set up by some bitch named Rose." she says

"She convinced me to go to this party and push up on Tyron since he was sad about his breakup"

I see the tears forming in her bruised eyes, "How do you know it was Rose?" Sofie adds

"Mike told me" she says as she sniffles

"He said that she was using him to get me to the party that night"

I look at the expression on Sofie's face...

its pitty because we both know she's telling the truth.

she continues "I confronted him after the fight..thinking he set me up"

"Well we think Rose is behind it to" I say putting my hand on her back

"And we want her to pay for it!" Sofie butts in

Paige smiles and nods agreeing to work with us to bring the truth to light

Later that day I get a text that cops are all around Sweeties house and that she's in the hospital..

"Damn I know that bitch was jealous but did she have to kill her?" Sofie says while looking at her phone

"What" I say confused

"Look at this" She says handing me her phone with pictures of Rose on the screen

"Who the fuck sent you these?" I say alarmed

"I don't know this number!" she replies

And then the same number texts me

<text from UNKNOWN: See those pictures I sent Sofie? I want you to do something with them

I reply saying its no way in hell I'm getting involved..but they reply back

<text from UNKNOWN: Oh come on Kaydee...you wouldn't want those recordings you have hiding under your bed...sent to your entire school 😏 would you?

I gasp and close the message...."Sofie..there's something I have to do"
