Sitting on his recliner while drinking tea, Mr Black is feeling relaxed and stress free. He enjoys every sip of tea. Looking at his two sons playing in front of him makes him feel blessed. A blessing which can not match any other blessing. With every sip he was enjoying the silly games of his kids when suddenly, the younger one fell down and as any father reflex he got up and helped the younger one stand.
"Be careful son, he is your younger brother and you have to take care of him." Mr Black politely corrects his elder son.
"You always ask me to correct myself, why don't you ask him to be careful while playing." The elder son replies.
"I will surely do that son, but as an elder brother even you have to take care of him." Mr Black politely explains
"You always scold me. You don't love me." The younger son gets annoyed and runs away from the place. And this action leaves Mr Black  into his past. "I was the same idiot, who never understood the love of my parents" Mr Black pity himself and his son. "What's wrong honey? You seem to be lost somewhere. Is everything ok? A loving voice interrupts Mr Blacks thoughts. " Nothing dear, was just lost in my past." Mr Black replies politely. "How I proposed you and how you became a part of my life. And today you are my life." Mr Black changes the topic. He never discussed about his mothers letters to her. Thou she knew everything but she never initiated the talks as she knew it would hurt him.   "Can I ask you a question?" Ask the same polite voice.
"Sure dear. You don't need to ask me for that."
"Why did you proposed me for marriage? You never loved me, you never had any feelings for me, then what made you take this decisions??? Asked Amanda, Mr black's wife.
"Its true honey, when I asked you for marriage I had no feelings for you. But there is one feeling that I always had for you, and that was feeling of respect. Since college day, I always knew you will make to be a very good wife. I always respected you as I knew you were a one man women. And most importantly I have learned in these many years that life becomes a blessing when you marry someone who loves you. And today I cherish my thoughts with you." Amanda and Mr Black exchange the expression of love for each other. Amanda recollects the time when MrBlack proposed her for marriage....
On a call...
"Hi Amanda, can we meet tonight at culpa cafe? Its something important I need to talk to you."
"Sure black, is everything ok? I was worried for you since you left us in the restaurant.
"Yes I am fine, but just wanna meet you. Its kinda important."
"OK, at what time?"
"Within an hour??"
"OK, will surely be there on time."
They hang the phone and Amanda dresses herself and leaves for the cafe.
Mr Black was already waiting for her in the cafe.
"Hi, thanx for coming." Mr Black shakes hand with Amanda.
They sit on a corner table for two.
"Would you like to have some tea coffee or juice?"
"Juice would be fine with me."
They order their juices and began their conversation.
"What is it blacky? You look stressed. Is everything ok."Amanda asks Black looking at him. Mr Black was very nervous. He was playing with his fingers. He couldn't make an eye contact with Amanda. He was continuously changing his positions on the chair he was sitting.
" whats wrong Black? I have never seen you so nervous in my life."
Amanda was worried for Mr Black. To Amanda's question Mr Black quickly responds and disclosed the reason for calling her and his nervousness.
"Will you marry me??" Mr Black while shifting his positions proposed her for marriage in one breath. And Amanda was shocked. She didn't know how to respond. A thousands of thoughts stopped her speech and  she doubted what she heard. With a frown on her blushing face she was trying to judge Mr Blacks decision of marrying her. She always dreamed of this day, when Mr Black would purpose her for marriage and ask her permission to get in her life. Like any other girl, she also dreamed to be proposed with flowers and the man kneeling down with a ring in a secluded area which would be decorated with red and white flowers and balloons with music being played around. Never in her dreams she thought of being proposed in a cafe while drinking juices.
"Why do you want to marry me??"Amanda asks Mr Black
"I won't lie to you Amanda. I don't love you but I have a lot of feelings of respect for you. I always admired you. And I see a lot of my mothers qualities in you. My mother was a great women. She was a good wife and a good mother. And I am pretty sure you will prove to be just like her. We are good friends and we can be best companions. What do you think??? Mr Black does not disclose that he knew that she loved him. He did not wanted to embarrass her. He stares at Amanda for her answer. To which she nodes her head. " yes even I think so" Amanda accepts Mr Blacks proposal. She was very happy for she was going to get married to the one she loved. She wanted to stand and hug Mr Black and show her happiness, but she controls her feelings as she thought Mr Black doesn't know about her feelings. And Mr Black on the other hand was sure about Amanda's happiness and was sure that she will prove to be a very good wife, which she proved to be. Mr Black never disclosed that he knew about Amanda's feelings for him and Amanda never disclosed about her feelings to Mr Black but loved him in such a way that he forgot all the pains that he got in his past life. She helped him be a better husband, a better son, and a better brother. She gave ideas to Mr Black through which he can help Sam financially without he knowing about that. Sam was now a successful and a famous artist who had many projects to look after and was also now living a lavish life. Amanda always made sure to keep in touch with Sam and his family. They loved her too. Mrs stella, was also impressed by the way she took care of her and never let her feel alone.  They all lived happily together. Ms Stella almost forgot that Mr Black was not her real son. He took care of her as he would take care of his own mother. Mr black always believed in her mothers saying.... Humans value relations most when they are gone. It is always better to value things when they are close to you.
