Lyssa's POV

I groan as my alarm clock goes off. I lift my head up to check the time. It reads 8:00 P.M. and I realize it's time to get up. I roll out of bed, and zombie walk to the outfit I neatly laid out for myself on the closet door the night before. Is anybody even awake? I think to myself as I walk to my bathroom to take a shower and change. The warm water feels great against my tense muscles, and I begin to feel the knot in my stomach go away. College today my bathroom calender reads in red sharpie. Oh my lord, my first day at Oxford University. I knew this day would come, but I didn't know it would be today. In my family, you're first day of college is one of the most important things in your life between marriage and child birth.

I quickly grab my light pnk loofa and start to rub the leftover soap form last night on it, on my body. I've been in here for like an hour, I mentally scold myself, and quickly turn the knob to stop the water. I practically leap out of the shower and rush to dry my body. I slap on a purple shirt, awhite cardigan, black jeans, and black platformed boots.

I apply some natural make up and put my hair into a halo braid. I run out of the bathroom, and quickly climb down the stairs to the kitchen, where the only person I find is Macy.

"Hey" she grins as she flips the pancakes for our breakfast. "Hey" I repeat as I sit down on a counter stool. "Is anybody up yet?" I ask full of worry, because of my OCD of lateness. "Yeah Shailey and Delilah are upstairs getting dressed, and Jada is playing Call of Duty in the other room" She replies easing my nervousness. Jada walks in wearing a floral romper and toms with a blck cardigan on top. "Hey guys, Lyssa I think we have a cardigan problem" she laughs. I smile back at her, and grab a cola out of the refridgerator. "No no no" Macy says as she takes the soda out of my hand. I dramatically whine and both Macy and Jada roll their eyes at my love of soda.

"You can't have soda on your first day" Macy explains and I nod. I use my fork to grab a few pancakes and plop them onto my plate. As I dig in, Macy and Jada begin to argue about which boy band is better than which, and Delilah and Shailey step into the kitchen. "Now what do we have here" Shailey says as she eyes the pancakes with an 'I'm going to eat you' expression. "Blueberry and chocolate pancakes" Macy boasts and Shailey grabs about five. "Hey put some back chicken." Macy grins as she slips a few off of Shailey's plate and puts them onto the pancake plate. We call Shailey chicken because of her love for chicken.

"Ugh, whatever" she says still eyeing the pancakes.

"So how are we going to get to Oxford from Brighton" I say trying to not to laugh at Shailey's pout face. "It's a two hour drive so we'll take the car. We're going to need it, considering we're staying at dorms." She says flipping the last batch of pancakes on the pan. "Oh ok" I frown. I have mixed emotions about college. On one hand, I want to go to college, but on the other I'm scared. What if everybody's a huge bitch? What if the test are hard and I fail every single one and dropout. Ugh why can't college be as easy as high school?

Macy's POV

I stare at Lyssa's worried expression. She loves school but she has anxiety about not "fitting in". She had no friends until she met us four and we connected. "Wait aren't our parents visiting in a couple weeks" I say trying to change the subject from school.

"Yeah mine are coming from Miami" she says with an unreadable expression.

Jada walks into the kitchen and takes the remainder of the pancakes. "Wow thanks" she says sarcastically as she throws the pancakes onto her plate. "Well maybe if you were here a little earlier, you would get a little more than that" I argue, trying to hide my smile. She sticks her hand out in the diva way, and chomps down her pancakes. I roll my eyes and start to wash the dishes. "Guys we have ten minutes and then we have to go" Lyssa instructs. "Kay" we all say in unison. As I finish washing the dishes, I dry my hands and grab my phone to check what time it is. 9:00 P.M. the phone reads and I almost have a heart attack. Guys we seriously have to go. Every one jumps up and grabs their purses and we head out, closing the doors behind us. As we head out the building, the chilly weather hits me. Damn, I should have worn a jacket. Once we find the parking spot where we parked the car, we climb in, and Shailey immediately turns on the heater. We all learned how to drive but Shailey drives the best, so we always have her drive us. I end up sitting in the back two seats of our jeep with Lyssa and Jada sits with our puppy Panda in the middle seats, and Delilah is up front. The drive is long and I end up checking my instagram the whole way there. When I look up the aign on the highway reads Oxford 1 1 /4 mile. We're almost there and I'm getting very freaking scared. Delilah and Shailey are singing along to Scientist by Coldplay, and I roll my eyes, they're great singers, but they don't believe it when I tell them. After ten minute the stone buildings of Oxford University come into sight. Oh my god.
