The flying monkeys flew faster and faster, Glinda almost fell from the back of their leader.
"Are we there yet?" asked Glinda, scared.
"Do not worry, Miss Glinda. We almost there. Just hold on tight." said the leader.
And indeed, after a few minutes they were there, in the land of Arjiki.
"Thank you for your...exciting ride." Glinda said, still dizzy from the journey.
The army of the flying monkeys wailed its way into the horizon.
Now Glinda was on her own, in this country she doesn't know, with no one to care for her.
She started walking in the almost-only-field land of Arjiki, with no one in sight.
"It's probably very early for them. I'll keep looking."
She wandered through the fields into the city. She saw that the city was almost empty.
She asked a lion-merchant for directions to the city's Church.
"Glinda Upland! It is you?"
" I am, who's asking?"
"Don't you remember?"
"I'm afraid not."
"I'm Toddly! from Elementary School!"
Then she remembered.
Toddly Arilla, he joined her school in 3rd grade.
He was mocked for being a lion in a time when being an Animal was like a sin.
She saw it as unfair so she befriended him.
She forgot him during all the events growing up but there he is!
He still remembers her but she forgot him.
"Toddly Arilla! What brings you to Arjiki?"
"I've had it with the sunny side of Oz, I wanted to explore and discover."
"But why here? Look at this city. It's almost deserted."
"But it's not all bad, the night life is something wonderful, and I heard that the prince of the land was something to be proud of."
"Yeah...yeah, he was...."
"What's the matter?"
"Fiyero. Fiyero was the name of the prince."
"How do you know?"
"He learned in Shiz University with me and Elph..."
"Who's Elph?"
"Nevermind"
"Oh! You mean Elphaba? She's wonderful!"
"How would you know who she is?"
"She lives here, in the town's church"
"She does? Oh, how wonderful! Where is that?"
"I heard she was a witch. a wicked witch!"
"Oh, no. She's amazing and kind, but can be pushed to her limits. Where is that church?"
" Behind the meat shop and you're there"
"Thank you! You're a truly good friend, Toddly!"
"You're welcome, Miss Galinda..."
She ran to the church in the dirty street, her feet ached from the running and she was short on breath, but in a short time, there she was!
