They had finally done it, made a universe for themselves. So he was supposed to be happy, right? But he wasn't.

Dirk was sitting inside a forest alone, thinking about life. That's when he heard two gunshots and rustling leaf sounds. The sounds were coming closer and then he felt something or someone trip on his leg and fall. Right after that, a wild boar appeared. Dirk quickly got on his feet and slayed the beast with a couple katana swings.

"Are you okay?" he asked to the smaller male laying on the ground. Dirk didn't realize who he was before it was too late.

"Thanks mate, i ran out of bullets to fight with, i don't know what i'd do if you weren't here since the forest is too dense to fly," he replied. Dirk froze when he realized who he was. Of course it was mostly obvious from the green and black clothing he wore and from his height too but in the moment Dirk hadn't had the ability to think clearly since everything happened so fast.

All that dirk managed to say was "Jake..?" But he lent a hand for him to get up and forced a smile for him.

"It's golly nice to see you!" Jake said as he took Dirk's hand and got up. "We haven't been able to talk since we arrived on Earth C" he continued as he gave Dirk a welcoming hug. "And why are you here? It didn't look like you were out hunting like i am."

Dirk took a second to think of how to reply. It was the first time he had seen Jake in almost a month. He wasn't sure if it was the best time to do an emotional vent with Jake yet. "Y'know just hangin out in the forest by myself. Like ironic dudes like me would do."

"Are you sure you're okay? you know you can talk to me if anything's wrong you know." Jake didn't seem convinced by Dirks lie.

Dirk didn't feel like lying more so he gestured Jake to sit down as he did the same. They spent at least an hour talking about Dirk's problems and towards the end dirk was laying down on Jake's lap as Jake was playing with Dirk's hair.
