Yuri could not believe what he had just heard come out of Victors vocal cords, the expression plainly written onto the silver haired man. Pain jabbed throughout Yuri's heart, Victor remained on the phone, half listening to the other man on the line, Yurio.
Yuri glanced over to Otabek, not allowing himself to look at the person who is continuously harming his heart, with each word he has been saying only making the situation increasingly worse and Yuri couldn't bare the pain.
Victor continued on the conversation with Yurio, the attacker turning his back to both Otabek and Yuri as he continued his discussion.
Yuri groaned lowly, his eyes burning from the tears that once dripped down his cheeks. The dryness from lack of moisture burning, and the sense of more tears being unable to fall only hurt Yuri more. The skater carefully removed the blanket from over his lap and threw his legs over the edge of the bed. Otabek was immediately by Yuri's side.
"No." Otabek spoke, the authority dripping from his voice intimidating, but, Yuri could have cared less. His heart had been broken repeatedly over the past weak. The pain beginning to make him care less about what happens to his body, or to him. Victor could be heard shifting on his chair, Yuri didn't pay attention to Victor.
"I need to leave, Otabek..." Yuri whispered, as Victor's loud words drowned out his words.
Otabek shook his head, "You are too weak to go by yourself, Yuri. If you truly need to go. Let me come with you, okay?" The man suggested with ease, his voice lowering down, understanding that Yuri didn't want Victor to hear whatever he could pick up at least. Yuri looked up at Otabek, his heart throbbing. He needed to get out of here, he needed to be away from someone who had hurt him, over and over. The person who he thought was the only one to raise his hopes up whenever Yuri was down.
And he shattered it
Otabek didn't ask anymore questions, the mere desperation that had settled into Yuri's eyes spoke for him. Yuri carefully pushed off the bed, his legs practically jelly when they hit the ground. But Otabek smoothly caught him, his arm wrapping around his waist as he smiled in mere understanding. The man murmured something that sounded similar to a, "I got you." But the words were to quite to be made out into actual words.
Yuri straightened his spine, his shoes not on, but, Yuri didn't want to waste anymore time being in this room with Victor. The broken hearted man leaned onto Otabek, the other man more or less support for his aching legs.
Slowly, they made there way to the door.
"Where are you two going?" Victor called out to them, Otabek shifted against Yuri's body, obviously turning to look back at Victor.
"Away from your sorry ass," Otabek hissed in frustration. Grasping onto the handle of the door and pulling it open. Holding the door open, he walked alongside Otabek, the man was limping from the pain, but he managed to get out of the room with support of Otabek.
Victor was heard mumbling something, as if ending the call. So, Otabek took it upon himself. The man swooped Yuri up, his left hand supporting Yuri's back and his right hand beneath the back of Yuri's knees. Carrying him in a bridal style, Otabek slammed the door shut and ran down the hall with Yuri in his arms.
