"I remember the way he looked at me, like I was his entire world. I remember feeling so safe, so secure. Little did I know he had the whole world in the palm of his hand.
Yet, I still loved him."

Kensington, 1969
I could see a charmer like him from across a room. His blonde hair, big blue eyes. He may not have came across that way to everyone, but I could see it. I could see him. I always could.

But what was I? A girl he had talked to, sold a few pieces of old vintage clothing to at his market stall with his friend a couple times. I was just another one passing by. A fleeting attraction.

Though, inside, I couldn't help but want to know him more. It was my type. I always did this.

Why couldn't I fight myself, those deepest desires of mine? I knew he wasn't into me. Yeah, a kind word, a flirty gesture and a smile or two may have meant something but for him? It was just his thing to get girls vulnerable. I wouldn't be that girl.

Even though every part of me was telling me to do something. To act on those deepest desires. To finally let myself give into something that could either be the greatest choice I've ever made, or my worst mistake.

It was all it took. Giving in. I slipped him my number. A phone call later.

It all changed for me.

For the better, though? I'm still deciding.
