Chapter 1-
Lily’s POV
The sun was blazing rays throughout my bedroom window peering through the flimsy, sheer, pink curtains. I turned to my right side just enough so that I wouldn’t fall off my bed, and just enough to read the bright red letters imaged and engraved into my alarm clock. 9:30. uuggghhh! As much as I wanted to have my older brother Louis Tomlinson home, I really despised getting up this early. Yes, my older brother is THE Louis Tomlinson, from THE band One Direction. My brother and I have always grown up super close, and ever since our parents died, Louis has been the father figure in my life. The house feels empty without his irresistable and obnoxious laugh, and his never-ending antics that have the ability to drive every living organism crazy. But, like I said, the house feels empty without him. The clocks seem to move slower, and even stop ticking every couple of seconds, and the way that the house remains clean for weeks at a time seems almost out of the ordinary. Maybe that's from Louis being gone, or it could also be the loss of our parents. You see, our father died 6 years ago in a fatal car accident, and our mom Jay died 2 months later to lung cancer. It was a rough time, for me, considering how young I was, and the time of the matter. I lost both of my parents, my life-givers, and all of my heart at the time when I needed them most. However, whether I knew it at the time or not, something considerably good was going to come out of the incident.
Today will be the first time I get to meet the boys, and let me tell you, I am so excited! I have heard so much about them from Louis on our nightly phone calls, and everything about them reminds me of my brother… and how much I miss him. Crazy that there will five boys and one girl in this house, right? Oh well, no more loneliness for me!
After five more minutes of sleep, I decided to finally get my lazy self out of bed. I promised Louis I would have my famous carrot cake ready for him the minute he stepped through the door, and here I am… Just getting out of bed, when my brother is expected to ring the doorbell, or burst through the door, knowing Lou, in a total of 45 minutes. After stripping out of my tank top and gym shorts, I stepped in the shower. The hot water felt amazing as it pelted on my neck and dripped down my back. After washing my hair, and finally cleaning myself up, I began to step out of the shower. I hastily threw on a beautiful teal, lace dress tied with a pink belt, and some pink, Louis Vuitton heels (late birthday present from Louis). After scrunching my long, dark brown-sun kissed hair, I headed down the stairs. The dishes were done in the kitchen, the tile floors were vacuumed and mopped, and mum's purple Vase stayed sitting straight up on the nightbench pushed against the side of the walll twards the front door. Ater looking at the clock above the panel on the stove, I was startled to see the time; 10:05. There was no way I was going to be able to finish Louis’ carrot cake, so I just decided to kick it back on the couch and watch the Tele.
“I love you Harry.”
“I love you more than anything in the world Lily.”
“Ding Dong” I suddenly awoke to the sound of the doorbell. I rubbed my sore temples as I pranced over to the front door. When I peeked throuhg the doorhole, I saw Louis’s deep, ocean blue eyes staring back into mine. Same old Louis, always being nosy! As I unlatched the door, I was rushed with a million hugs and kisses from Louis. “Lily!” Lou screeched, “Lily I missed you so much”! “I missed you too Lou... but I can’t breathe” I muffled into his chest as he engulfed me into a bear hug. Louis let go and gave me one last, sloppy kiss on my cheek, before wrapping his arm protectively around my small waist. “Oh my! I almost forgot” He gasped. Louis turned us around to face the other boys.
“Lily, this is Zayn,” Louis said pointing to the tan boy with the perfect hair. “Hello Zayn, I’m Lily,” I said as I gave him a small wave. Zayn gave me a small smirk before stepping near the blonde, shaggy haired boy. Is my breath really that bad? “Liam, this is my sister Lily,” Louis said as he flashed a smile in my direction. “Hey Lily,” said the shaggy haired boy. Yay, an outgoing and nice one! Louis then turned my shoulders so I was facing a boy with blonde-brown hair. “Niall, this is my baby sister Lily,” Louis said as he gave me yet another peck on my right cheek. “Hi Lily, It’s nice to finally meet you! We have heard so much about you from Lou,” said Niall, I quickly shook his extended hand before Lou pulled our outstretched hands apart. Great, the protective brother mode is beginning to kick in.” And last, but most certainly not least, Lily this is Harry,” Lou said as he stepped over to the curly-haired boy. I hadn't noticed that my face was hanging towards the ground, but when I finnaly grasped enough courage to look up, my breath was taken away. His face was magnificently beautiful, and his luscious, brown curls framed his high cheekbones, and flawless forehead perfectly. “Hi Harr-rry,” I said as I extended my left hand for the boy to shake, but I was surprised by his actions. “Love, put that hand away, I’m a hugger, and what a beautiful name” said Harry as he dragged me into his thin and muscular frame. I began to blush, and I felt my cheeks turn red as I stared into his beautiful, spell binding, emerald green eyes. After 5 seconds of hugging, Louis instinctively pulled Harry and me apart seperating me from this most mesmerizing moment.. “This is going to be…interesting,” I said to myself as I closed the wooden, framed door. When I walked into the family room, I wasn’t surprised to see all of the boys plopped down on the couch except Lou. He instead was standing in the kitchen just waiting for me. When I saw him standing there with his hands in his red, pants pockets, I knew exactly what he wanted. I grabbed his hand and dragged him into his office, so we could talk privately. After arriving in the office, I quickly shut the door so the boys couldn’t hear our conversation. “Lily, you have no idea how much I have missed you! You look beautiful!” Louis screeched before once again pulling me into another hug. I quickly felt Louis pull my feet off of the ground and spin me around during the hug, before plenting a soft brotherly kiss on my lips. “I know Lou, I’ve missed you too!” I said as I began to sit down in the office chair. I wanted to brace myself before Lou started the conversation I had been dreading to talk about. “So, how have you been” Lou asked as he knelt down in the chair across from me. “Good, I went and got the test done yesterday, and Dr. Williamson said I am in the clear, so for now… the cells are gone, and I am free.” I said as I began to look towards the ground. “Oh my gosh Lily, that is amazing. I have never been so proud of you! You don’t know how strong you are. I just wish mum and dad could be here to experience the moment when their daughter said that she is in the clear.” Lou said as he began to put his head in his hands. I felt my eyes begin to tear up as I pulled my big brother into a hug. “I know Lou, but look, they are watching from up there, and they know that I am doing just fine. WE are doing just fine. They are our guardian angels.” I said to Louis as he began to remove his hands from his face and pull me closer into is muscular chest. My nostrils were filled with his Gucci Guilty cologne, and it made me even gladder to have Lou home. “I love you so much Lily,” Lou said as he kissed the top of my head. “As the same goes to you,” I said as I began to feel the tears sting my eyes. When I looked up towards Louis, I saw that he was beginning to cry too. We both chuckled at the scene as we began to gather ourselves together before returning to the four other boys.
“Come out when you’re ready Lils,” Lou said as he planted one last kiss on my forehead before walking out the door. When Lou left, I began looking at the framed picture of my mum and me hanging securely on the wall. Just glancing at the picture and seeing how happy we both were just made a large, dimply smile appear on my face. Everything was perfect back then. I had no worries, and I never thought that I would be where I am today. Living with a threat, having no parental figures existing in my life, and staying with my abusive boyfriend Jack that just wants me for show. But, things change, however, memories dont.
After walking to the office door, I stopped when I heard voices. I slowly crept over and slightly put my ear to the door, so I could hear the commotion. All I heard was Lou’s voice, over the tele.
“Now, I want you all to listen up, especially you Harry. No hugging for more than 5 seconds, Lily is off limits. No flirting, no eyeing her body and especially no dating!” Lou shouted. They all sounded disappointed. After a couple more minutes of eavesdropping on Lou's lecture to the rest of the boys, I decided to finally go to the family room to be with my family.
“Hey guys!” I screeched. I saw all of the boys piled on the couch, and I invited myself over to the empty spot next to Louis. He smiled when he saw me, and he then patted the seat next to him, signaling for me to sit down. I slowly walked over to the couch and I smiled when I saw Harry wink at me. I looked at the ground and I felt my cheeks creep into a deep blush. Stop it Lily, you have a boyfriend! After sitting down, I snuggled myself into Louis as he began to wrap me in his arms. When I finally began to get comfortable, I was startled when I felt the familiar vibration from the pocket of my dress.
Jack<3<3<3: Meet me at my house in 15
Lou peeked over my shoulder to see who I was texting, and I heard him grunt when he saw that it was Jack. Louis and Jack hated each other with a passion. Out of the 2 and a half years that Jack and I have been together, Jack has been nothing but bad to me, so I realize that Louis has the right to be rude to him. I get punished when I do something wrong, and if I ever leave Jack, he says that he will search for me, through whatever it takes. I am his property, and nobody else's. I have never told anyone that Jack has ever threatened me like that, because I have never even thought about leaving him. At first, Jack seems like a… you know, a git. But after a while, I guess you can become close with him. “Hey, I have to go meet up with Jack.” I said as I patted Louis on his arm. He grunted and removed him arm from around my shoulder, clearly disgusted with me. “You’re still with that arse?” Louis huffed. I sighed and rolled my eyes. “You can stop calling him that.” I mumbled. “I have the bloody right to call him that!” He said as he raised his voice. “He’s a disgusting pig that beats you! He just wants you for sex! Do you not realize that?!” Louis yelled. I began to gather my things before I looked over at my brother. I saw the hurt in his eyes. “He is scum. I have never seen him not drunk, and look at all the bruises you have on your body from him.” Louis said as he stormed over and lifted the sleeve on my shirt. I rushed his hand away, and pulled my sleeve down when I saw each boy sitting with their mouth agape. “We will talk later Lou.” I said as I grabbed my car keys, and stormed out of the house. "I can't leave Jack, he was beginning to actually change." I thought to myself as I heard my heels clacking against the rough, paved, concrete. "Who am I kidding... There is no chance of that."
