† Living with the Music † { Pt. 1 }

        This story starts off with Mandi. Mandi Sonera. Mandi was an american girl living in Troy, New York. Mandi was 14 days away from being aged 15. She prayed every morning for the day to pass quickly. But having check-ups ever few hours and needles inside her every few minutes was not something to take up time. It made the days longer. Tubes with drugs to make you fall asleep for four hours then wake up feeling like it's the next day, and staying in a bed for so long was not Mandi's idea of a good time. She'd be able to go home for three whole months after her birthday. Mandi had osteosarcoma in her left leg, and struggled to get up or walk. She underwent treatment and was in the hospital for a year and a half. She spent most of her free time (which was all the time) listening to music and watching televison. She listened to music all day, no matter the genre; Punk rock, pop, rap, alternative, you name it. She had so much music on her iPod that she couldn't download anymore songs. It was overfilled with 27 hours worth of music. So for her 13th birthday, before she was in the hospital, she was given a new one and is nearly done filling up that one, with 18 hours worth of music.                               "My Collection of Music History" she called it. She labeled her first iPod with a custom made sticker labeled with her name written in bubbled letters. Her second was labeled with the logo of the band named "Queen".

        A couple days later, when Mandi woke up,  she heard something. 

"I wake up every evenin' with a big smile on my face and it never comes out of place," She sang in her head. She grabbed the remote to her bed and elevated it to the window and looked out. Her eyes widened with excitement.
