number-12
We slowly make our way out of the dark small cave. As I step out, I see the sun shining brightly. White fluffy clouds danced across the baby blue sky. It was like a scene out of a movie, when the heroes win the battle, and they get to go home. The only difference is that there was still a battle to be fought. I look down to see the strange and mysterious artifact. I help it up to the sun, the gold and gems twinkled beautifully in the sun.
"Hey, what are you doing!" Hershell shouts at me, "you're going to drop it you fool!" he yells and yanks it out of my hand. I pull with such force my hand turned red.
"What are you talking about if anything you are going to drop, you'll probably burn it up before we can do anything with it!" I shout back.
"Umm...guys." I hear Tarin whisper, but I ignore it wanting the artifact back. I and Hershell start pushing and shoving, fighting for the artifact.
"Good fight! This will make a great story. The two travel fight for-" Ever starts, but we both cut him off with a loud "SHUT UP!" The arguing got louder and louder until
"GUYS CUT IT OUT!" we all turn around to see Tarin, he was usually calm, and never got angry or yelled. We were all taken by surprise.
"I'm sorry about that, but we aren't going to solve anything by fighting. So I'm going to step my foot down for once and say that Ndawapeka should hold it." He said with a stern face. The 3 of us still shocked by Tarin, watch quietly as Ndawapeka smirks and grabs the artifact.
"Well then, I guess we should find so information on this thing." Ever suggested. We all agreed and started discussing where to go. I continually nodded my head, acting like I was paying attention. I was watching as Ndawapeka eyed the golden object in her hands. I felt uneasy, I mean for all I knew she could be working for the other side!
"So then it's settled right. We will go to Silver Swords, the village at the bottom of the hill." Tarin announced. Everyone agrees, and we set off.
***
We reach the bottom and find a tiny village." okay let's split up to find info," Hershell suggest, "Tarin, Ever, and me. Then Ndawapeka and Grey." We all agree and goes our separate ways.
"Hey Ndaw, maybe I should hold the artifact," I say more telling than asking.
"No, it's fine," she says grabbing a book off a shelf.
"Your arm must hurt here," I say while grabbing the artifact out of her bag.
"HEY!" she screams and pulls it out of my hand. Only if I were stronger. "What do you think you're doing!" she shouts, causing a big scene. I single her to be quiet.
"Look I just don't want it to be in the wrong hands, okay. So just let me-" She cuts me off and says, "well how do I know I'm not giving it to the wrong hand when I give it to you." she said as calm as she can while pointing to me. I let out a big sigh, as she walks away. Mad I stay a few feet behind her, making sure she doesn't do anything bad.

We get back, there's still a lot of tension between me and Ndawapeka. So much you can cut a knife through it. I think everyone noticed it. I look away from Ndawapeka to see a man next to the group of guys.
"who's that person," I say bluntly while pointing to the guy. Tarin smacks me.
"Pointing is rude!" he whispers to me. The man laughs, and so does everyone else but Ndawapeka.
"this is the person who going to lead us towards the ziggurat on top of the Ayre Mountains." Ever explains, "Yeah," Hershell says while pushing the guy forward. He had short blonde hair and a nicely built body.
"okay, that's nice," I say, then looking over to him, "thanks for this!" I exclaim while putting my hand out to shake.
"anything for you, but it's going to be hard!" he says while shaking my hand, I feel my face heats up a bit. Hershell pulls me away from him and steps in between us.
"So let's get on this 'hard' journey," he says. we all nod in agreement. The man agrees and walks us over to the mountain
"let us go then" the man shouts pointing forward.
***
halfway through the mountain, I saw Ever sneak the artifact out of Ndawapeka bag. What in the world was he doing? I watch has he examied the object, and writing stuff down in his notebook. I never really trusted him, I mean he never really cared about anyone. This just made me suspect him more. We made eyed contacted. I so the pack in his eyes as he quickly put it back. What in the world. I go over to Ndawapeka.
"yeah look but you really have to five that to me," I whisper to her. She looks at me and scoffs.
"go to hell!" she says and walks away. Everyone looks over, I shrug it off and looked to the ground.

We finally got to the top, it was now very awkward between me, Ndawapeka, and Ever. We start looking around. Tarin soon calls us over to see what he found. It was a white box that almost perfectly blended into the white snow. We nudge him to open it. He slowly opens it the box when a blade comes flying out of it, he quickly moves and the blade only hit his hand. We all went dumbfounded saying how fasted that just happen. The man who was leading moved him aside. I grab his hand and check the wound. I get to work on healing him, the others further examine the box very carefully.
Just as I finish up bandaging the wound the others come to us with papers.
"good you are such a bad healer, who did you even make a living?" Hershell mocks me. I stand up a kick him in the shin.
"at least I don't kill birds for a hobby!" I spit back.
"I swear if you guys don't shut up, or I will push you off this mountain!" Ever shout. We both turn our backs and shut up. The man read the paper, saying it was in a language that, out of all of us, he understood.
"so here's a summary of it," he started, "A king long ago planted this box here, it is worth a lot of money and is a family heirloom. Anybody would do anything for it" he explains.
"so it's useless," Ever says, Nadwapeka agrees with him. We all look at them with crazy eyes.
"what are talking about!" Tarin yells.
"look this thing looks fishy, and how do we know if that guy is telling the truth!" Ever yells in defense.
"look, either way, we can use it to bribe people," I explain. Everyone but Ever agrees. He goes over to Ndawapeka and grabs the artifact out of her hands.
"HEY GIVE THAT BACK!" I yell at him.
"What! can't I just hold it? do you not trust me!" he shouts at me. I break eye contact and look over to the ground guiltily.
"That what I thought, and it's all because of this!" he shouts while waving the heirloom. Rain starts pouring down. He winds up his arm. We all stand there as he makes the heirloom fly in the sky. BOOM! CRASH! The thunder rings in the sky as the object falls down. Another scene that you would see in a movie, but this time when it all goes wrong. Dear Asha and Druj, please help.
