Lost Hope - An Emilena Fanfic

- Chapter 4 - A new danger approaches. -

"I've been waiting for you, what took you so long?" Olivia asked and turned around. "I was just speaking with Lena, she is pretty shaken up." Amelie said. "What did you want to speak about?" She asked. Olivia sighed. "Well, the plan worked. We're out of the terrorist organization. But, they'll be hunting for us." Olivia explained, she turned around. "I looked into their files, they have a bounty hunter. You remember? She took the same 'training' as you. It went severely worse, she's dangerous. She only listens to the bosses.." Amelie took a step back. "You don't mean.. she's.." Olivia nodded. "We know too much about Talon, of course they'd try to kill us." Olivia muttered. "We better stay low, talk to Morrison. Maybe he'll give us protection. I can't be too sure if they'll send her."

Angela had stayed close to Emily, she seemed fine now. Lena came by "How's Emily?" She asked. Angela looked over to Lena, she looked like she hadn't really slept. "You may go see her yourself." She gestured her towards Emily's room. A new hope glittered in Lena's eyes, without hesitation she walked over to the room. "Thanks Doc!" She yelled and walked into the room. Angela smiled, she walked away. "I can't be sure if she's fine, Moira's experiments were risky." She said as a nurse followed behind.

Lena entered the room, there Emily lay. She was staring up at one of the holo-screens, she turned when she was someone entered the room. Right away she sat up with a smile. "Hey.. Lena!" Emily groaned as she shifted her position. Lena quickly went to Emily to support her. "Take it easy love, you'll hurt yourself again." Lena said softly, Emily just smiled. "I'm just so happy to see you." Emily said as she slowly wrapped her arms around the girl. Lena softly pulled her into a hug. "How are you feeling? It was quite a nasty save back there." Lena asked with concern.

"I'm fine, just a little sore.." Emily muttered. "Then get some rest love, I'll be here." Lena caressed her cheek softly, Emily smiled warmly and laid back down. Lena pulled a chair to the bed and sat next to Emily's bed. Emily gazed at Lena as she slowly closed her eyes, Lena held Emily's hand as she fell asleep.

Moira stood over a balcony, staring out over the landscape, light footsteps caught her attention. "Ah, you're here. Finally." She spoke, a woman wearing a visor walked beside her. "You called me O'Deorain?" Her voice flat, but smooth. "Yes, I talked with the council. You are assigned on a solo mission." She spoke, still looking out at the landscape. "Tell me what I need to do, I'll do it." The woman spoke as she took off her visor. "Everything is right here, read through it. Don't fail." Moira spoke as she looked over to the woman. She took out a holographic file and gave it to the woman. "You have one week." Moira said as the woman nodded and left.

"Once things are set in place, no one will stand in the way of Talon." Moira chuckled.

Emily opened her eyes, she looked around the room. Her chest hurt, she looked down and saw the purple substance oozing out of her chest. She got up quickly and it started to bubble. Nurses started rushing in, they called for a doctor. They held her down as she started to kick. "Let me out!" She yelled, the pain was unbearable. A doctor came in, she soon started to cough out the purple substance and blood.

Angela was called into the emergency ward, she knew something was gonna happen to the girl. When she walked in, Emily was fighting with the other nurses, the purple substance everywhere. She pressed the emergency button which put the entire medic bay on lockdown. She injected something into Emily which made her calm down. "Calm down, you'll be okay. Just breathe and let us take care of this." Emily looked at her, she started to relax. "Good." She placed a mask over her. "You'll be alright."
