it's been two weeks since you've visited me, since we've shared that sweet kiss, since i've held your hand, since i've been in your graceful presence again. every day since, we've began talking to each other again. truly, i've never thought this would be the case. i've never thought we would be happy, together. lately, things have been changing. lately, i've been smiling more. the sky looks more blue, the sun shines more brightly. the flowing flowers in the wind seem more beautiful than ever before. your smile lifts my very soul and makes me forget about everything else. like you're the only person that matters to me. it's you that has lifted me out of this deep, dark hole i've been breathing in for so long. it's you that made me climb out of this trench of darkness, of sadness, of the demons all around me telling me that it's not worth it. it'll never be worth it. but i've learned it is. those voices were wrong. i was wrong. it's always worth the wait, worth the time i spend waiting and fighting my mentality, and although it seems like forever with the never-ending pain, if it means i get to look into your eyes that never fail to keep my attention, smile at your smile, feel truly happy in your soft, yet fierce and beautiful aura, park chaeyoung, it's worth it. everything i've been through, the nights i've spent staring into the darkness and the days i've spent wishing, hoping i was beyond the grave, the pain of my thoughts and my dark mind, the heavy, sinking feeling in my chest whenever i saw you with him, it was all worth it, to be with you, to at least have something as little as just your friend. i don't know what we are, but i do know, everything, was worth it.
