I'm running.
My feet move fast beneath me and my eyes can barely focus on everything whipping past. I can feel my throat burning as I gasp for air, my arms swinging rapidly beside me trying to grasp anything and pull myself faster, further.
I can hear the heavy footsteps behind me gaining and I begin to scream for help. I can feel the sounds leave my chest but I can't hear anything except the footfalls of my pursuer.
And then I feel a weight on my shoulders and I'm falling and falling and my hands hit stiff grass, just barely holding my face above the ground. I turn over and I scream at what I see.
I scream.
And I can no loner breathe.
And I scream.
I scream and wake up to find myself half on the floor. I'm in a similar position as my dream but my legs didn't make it far enough off the bed, leaving them bent at an uncomfortable angle.
I groan in frustration as I slide my legs onto the floor. Rubbing the sleep out of my eyes, I wait a few seconds as they adjust to the light. Now crossed legged on the floor, I can see the aftermath of tonights episode.
All of my pillows lay in various spots around the room, my bedding sits in a tangled mess on top of my mattress which lays askew on the bed frame. In a strange turn of events, somehow my sheet has ended up draped from the ceiling fan.
Rising to my feet, I gently and carefully remove the bedding from the ceiling and begin begrudgingly making my bed once more. I really thought I would get some decent sleep tonight. I fell asleep in record time (only a few hours of lying in bed before I passed out) but sleep only lasted for a couple of hours before I jolted awake.
I finally finish making my bed and I look at the clock. 4:32 AM. My two options are to either lay back down and maybe get one more hour of sleep before school the next day or work on some homework since I feel wide awake right now.
"Homework it is." I sigh, and I take my place at my desk, flicking on the dim yellow light that would carry me until morning.

"Hey! (Y/N)! Wake up!"
I feel slight but rough tapping on my shoulder as Felix calls to me.
"I'm not asleep," I mumble, my face buried in my arm as I rest my head on the table in front of me, "just resting my eyes."
A pair of hands cups my cheeks and lifts my face up into the bright cafeteria lighting. The light is a quick shift so I squint my eyes at Hyunijn's smiling face in front of me. "You know you won't sleep tonight if you have a nap now right?"
"Ugh," I scoff, "I won't sleep at night regardless so I should maximize any chance that I can get." I groan and lean back in my seat and close my eyes. As Changbin sips pop through his straw loudly from across the table, I peak one eye open to look at him, scowling when our eyes meet.
"What?"
"Nothing." He says as he returns to his notebook that he was writing in, sipping much more quietly this time.
Our lunch break ends and we begin heading to our next classes. Felix and Hyunjin wave goodbye to Changbin and I as they head over to the gym to work on their choreography for their dance club. I yawn widely as we make our way to our next class, unfortunately a very boring one so trying to stay awake will be near impossible.
