Daryl and I are best of friends since high school. We are now on our chosen path. He is an architect, while I own a tea shop.

Hindi na bago sa amin yung pagtatanong ng ibang tao na hindi kami kilala personally kung kami ba or hindi. We treat each other like boyfriend - girlfriend. We hold hands, we are always together, we even use one plate and glass kapag nasa outing.

There is this time that I met a guy over the net. He's so cute. Actually, crush ko nga siya. I never told anyone about that, not even Daryl.

We get along so well. He knows I have a crush on him, I even call him crushy and he calls me cutie.

Di ko akalain na tatagal ng 6 months yung ganun, na kaya ko magtago kay Daryl ng something. Wala akong tinatago sa kanya, this is the first time.

One day, we are both in my condo unit. My parents gave me this as a graduation gift after college. We are so busy playing scrabble when we heard the doorbell. Napatingin kami sa isa't-isa.

"Hey, GBF, were you expecting someone?"

**BBF - boy bestfriend

"Nope. Were you?"

"This condo is yours. Why will they go here if their intention is me?" Who the fuck is this. Istorbo.

"I'll go check."

"No. Stay here, babe."

Babe? Anong meron? That's the first time.

When Daryl opened the door, he saw a guy inches taller than him that seems to be waiting for someone.

"How can I help you?"

"Hey. I'm Van. I would like to ask if you know where her condo unit is. Her GPS brought me in this place."

Then, he showed me the photo. I'm in 100% state of shock. Why does he have a photo of my girl?

Ang tagal naman ni Daryl. Mapuntahan na nga.

"Hey, Daryl. What is you taking so -- ?

"Van?! What are doing here? How did you know I live here?"

"I'm here because I want to meet you personally. GPS, cutie."

Hala. Fatay na. I looked at Daryl and I saw a question mark on his face as tall as him.

"Can I talk with my babe, first? Wait here."

With that, he grabbed me and we went inside my room.

"Who the fuck is that?! Cutie?! GPS?!"

"Hey, BBF."

"Cut the crap, Angelique Kaye! Answer me. Now."

"Okay. I met him over the net six months ago. He lives in Europe. I don't know that he will find out where I live, I have no idea that he will go here today, like right here right now. I didn't tell you about him 'cause I know what you will say."

"That's it?! For six fvckin' months?! That's how you protect whoever that guy is?! I can't believe you."

"That's it. If you're not contented with what I said, suit yourself."

Umalis ako. Lumabas ako ng unit ko. I saw Van waiting.

"Hey. Lets go."

"Hey. I'm sorry. I didn't know that you are busy today.  I was planning to surprise you that's why I didn't tell you about my plans on visiting."

"It's okay. It's done. It happened already. Just take me anywhere so I can calm myself."

With that, he brought me to a coffee shop nearby. Para daw makapag-relax ako. We sat on the table next to the shop's glass wall.
