Nice: Hey guys! So, Back from my break! Time for more shard hunting! Because, what else are you gonna do?

Yami: Teach?

Nice: That's a bit boring to read. And to write.

Yami: Well what about time with Midna?

Nice: They just had a confession chapter.

Yami: Alright, fine. But how are you gonna do this one?

Nice: Let's see, they started off with the first shard, Y/n got the second one quickly by walking into a town, grabbing it and leaving. This time... Let's make it a challenge! Enjoy!

Y/n's POV

It's been a few days since Midna and I confessed to one another. I was now laying in bed with Midna, my arms wrapped around her as she leaned against my chest.

Midna: Hey, do you have to work today?

Y/n: I don't believe so.

Midna: Perfect.

Midna leaned into me more, holding my arms as I tightened my grip on her waist. Suddenly, there was a buzz from my scroll. I picked it up, checking to see who had messaged me. It was Ozpin. Apparently, Ironwood got that transport together and was ready to get the next shard.

Midna: Are you serious?

Y/n: Sorry, that's work. It wouldn't be polite to keep them waiting. Again.

Midna: How long are you going to be gone?

Y/n: Maybe a day or two? It's a bit farther north, so it could take a while to get there and track down its exact position.

Midna: Just be careful.

I nodded, hugging Midna before leaving as I put on my coat and the rest of my outfit. I walked out to the courtyard, seeing a large Bullhead, soldiers, and Ironwood. I approached, walking up to Ironwood.

Ironwood: You're ready to go. The pilot will drop you off. Call when you need a pickup.

I nodded, walking past him and entering the ship. I sat down in the back, noticing Ironwood had decided to send soldiers with me. I got up, walking to the cockpit.

Y/n: How long will the flight be?

Pilot: A few hours at best. When we're close, I'll let you know.

I nodded, going back to sitting near the soldiers. I glanced around the ship most of the trip, noticing how relaxed and unconcerned the soldiers seemed to be. The pilot called out a few hours later, telling us we were at the drop point. I opened the doors of the ship and was hit by a strong cold breeze. Tying my scarf around my face, I jumped down, landing in the cold snow. I got up, noticing a path and a village nearby. I heard the soldiers drop down with me. I started heading for the village, hoping for signs of the mirror.

We walked into the village, noticing how everyone seemed to be nervously avoiding the road. I turned around to face the soldiers.

Y/n: Your presence is frightening the locals. I'd appreciate it if you would all split up and investigate the town. Be cautious.

Soldier: Split up?

Y/n: Yes, the locals are afraid of the sudden military force here. We need to minimize it or the Grimm will be here in minutes.

Soldier: He's right. Everyone spread out. We'll regroup here in an hour.

They all nodded and split up, going across the town. I went straight to the Inn, hoping the most gossip would be there. I walked into the building, my scarf pulled up as I inspected the lobby. Lots of wood and stone with a cozy fireplace in the center. I heard a voice calling towards me so I looked over at the front desk, seeing a woman with short brown hair waving me over. I walked over, keeping my face obscured.
