A/N hey your still here! I guess you've bothered to come this far so enjoy some answered questions!
A dull pain in izuku's neck brought him back to reality from his dreamless slumber, and he jolted forward. This had only increased the pain in his neck and he sucked in a quick breath through his teeth. Cautiously he rubbed his neck and took in his surroundings.
He was in a dimly lit bar that seemed to have gone out of commission and been abandoned not to long ago. He had been laid on a rag for a couch and sudden realization heightened his senses and his stomach dropped when he realized his true situation. Not only had hit attempt at suicide failed but now he was also in a unknown building, injured and un aware of what the hell is going on.
"I should be dead!!!" He thought franticly.
The freckled boy was about to stand up when a scratchy voice spoke from around a corner."I wouldn't go any where if i were you,"
Izuku turned his head a bit to fast and he winced at the action, the unknown voice seemed to be amused at his panic because a low chuckle had erupted from a very dry throat.
Having no words- no, not being able to produce any words from his dry mouth the green haired boy curled up on the edge of the couch, ready to make a run for it if needed.
The man then walked out of the shadows revealing his appearance to the captive boy, well except for his face... he had a gloved palm gripping it and long unkempt bluish grey locks fell around it. He wore all black and it appeared that he hadn't been out side in a very long time due to his sickly grey look.
He took two more steps towards the boy before stopping mer feet away from his trembling form. He said nothing as he scratched at his neck and Izuku could only stare as dry skin flew off and the sound of nails running on skin entered his ears. Making him cringe on the inside of how this man could handle it. The elder man seemed to be in no rush to explain to Izuku why he was here, so swallowing his fear that had decided to lodge its self in his throat he looked up to the man. Staring at what he imagined his eyes were peaking out from."W- wh" embarrassed he cleared his throat trying to get rid of his stutter before trying again,
"what do you want with me?" His voice croaked at the end but this time he payed no mind to his pride. To focused on what the man would have to say to his question. He just wanted to solve this problem and get himself out of what he got stuck in.
Damn you Izuku you screwed yourself again today... this time they wont even concern themselves with your mess!
The pale man looked down at the frightened boy and turned his head to the side a bit as if he was confused. Izuku was about to try again when the man spoke again.
"Your lucky you know."
Confused Izuku looked up a bit forgetting his fear as he thought about what the man could mean. "If we hadn't been watching, you would have fallen to your death"
that much was clear, Izuku felt a weight in his stomach at the mention at his failed death attempt. He
was still upset with him self for failing a simple task.Cant even end your own worthless life...
He mind continued to spit hurtful words at him while the man above smirked at the situation unfolding before his eyes. He'd seen it many times before and had even had the pleasure of experiencing it himself... and here he was now.
"We didn't gave to do what we did, but the master and i are getting impatient."
"Master?"
"I can see now that we might just have some luck with you... yes, i can tell your potential will be a great asset to us..."
What the hell was he talking about?!?! Potential, master, we? What was the man above him talking about? Izuku's breath hitched for the umpteenth time today. And he desperately clutched his pants trying to calm his racing nerves.
Izuku was a quirkless weak unfit boy. How did they plan to use him?!
You'll never be worth anything...
Then something else clicked. We? As if he read his mind a man stepped out behind the bar only a few paces behind the pale man.
What was strange and alarming was that he looked just like the mist on the ground right before he passed out. Swirls of wispy smoke curled all around his un clothed limbs and were his head should have been two gleaming lights stared back.
The pale mans scratchy voice speaking brought him back to looking at him stress already evident in his crinkled brows.
"So tell me boy," there was a sudden pause, thick enough to cut with a knife.
were you really ready to die?"
Despair filled his stomach to the brim and his guts twisted in knots at the mans question. Was he really ready to die? He had felt so in the moment and that scared Izuku more then any villain could have. Opening and closing his mouth a bit the freckled boy decided what his next words would be.
"Im useless... the number one hero told me so himself, all i wanted in this life was to become a hero and save others, but i dont have a quirk, i cant even stand up for myself in school... so whats the point in even trying any more? Why live a life not worth living?"
Izuku should have held his tongue and not shared so many secrets about himself to potentially dangerous men, but he couldn't stop. Not only was he confessing to them, he was confessing to himself the feelings he never wanted to acknowledge.
Tears pricked his eyes as he finished his explanation, sadness swallowed him whole and he couldn't stop his mind from thinking of the worst possible things about himself. Why deny the truth? The pale man on the other hand looked more then pleased with Izuku's answer in that moment the pale man let his true color show and in an ominous voice he spoke.
"How would you like to find your meaning and be worth something here?"
Phew!!! That was a lot of movement for one thumb, and excuse any spelling errors, i didn't have time to proof read it so it might be a bit messy before i come back to fix it.
fear not for next part will come out very soon! But off of that note thank you for reading and enjoy the suspense of waiting for a little bit longer!
