Under the August Rain

When the clouds cry and rain comes

Will you stay here with me?

 Sharing a single gray umbrella

Letting this timely moment be

You were within arms reach

Our clothes soaked through

But I felt nothing but warmth

And I knew you felt it too

Fate gave me another

Another chance to be near

This longing for you tripled

It was both painful and clear

We stood under the umbrella

And I wished the sky won’t lit up

So you’d forever stay here

As I begged that time would stop

We basked under the drizzle

For once I was contented

I felt whole and complete

You were the only thing I wanted

But my happiness was short lived

As the dark sky turned blue

To me everything appeared solemn

Even though the sky cast a beautiful hue

When the day turned sunny

You walked away and said goodbye

You thank me for sharing the umbrella

And you left to met your guy

So if the clouds cry and rain comes

Will you still stay here with me?

Once we shared a single gray umbrella

Letting that untimely moment be
