Becca's p.o.v.
I was standing in a large open field, more and more wolves were showing up and each and every one of them kept glancing at me in confusion. I was yet to meet the rest of the pack so I understand why they are doing it, but that doesn't make me feel any less uncomfortable.
A snobby looking slag and her friends glared at me from not to far away, Sarah smiling looked from them to me. "They are just like that because you are new and they think you might be after my brother." she chuckled.
"Really?...well sorry to disappoint, I may find your brother mouthwatering but I wont be going there any time soon, I just got here, I am not that desperate to be alienated." I shrug.
"Ewww, that's my brother...hmmm, oh well besides the way he looks at you, you might not keep away from him for that long, especially because you are now the Beta Daughter." she remarked.
I glanced at her, a confused look on my face, "what is that supposed to mean" she looked around like it was of little importance.
"Seriously, he couldn't keep his eyes off you at dinner, kind of like right now" she stated.
I glanced around the field and just as she said, Calvin is blatantly staring right at me. I feel butterflies in my stomach with his gaze on me and that I find confusing.
"Whatever, I do not care what he thinks of me, it is not happening besides I need to focus on training today to prove I am worthy of being a Beta's daughter and with my birthday coming up I will need to focus on NOT finding my mate" I calmly stated walking towards the other wolves preparing for todays training.
"Oh my god, wait, you don't want to find your mate!" I had a feeling someone was listening in to our conversation now that we were closer to the group, but I had no idea who it could be.
"Nope, I don't deserve a mate, besides I still have an entire year of high school to get through and I honestly do not want to spend that being all lovey dovey with some random guy I am forced to believe is the center of my universe with no background information" I sit down and begin stretching, never and I mean never go into a training session without stretching first, it hurts a hell of a lot more than if you did.
I looked over at Sarah just to see her jaw hanging open in shock, I don't think she has ever had someone say that to her before, I could almost see the gears ticking around in her head.
"....wait.....how do you not deserve a mate, what happened to make you think that?"
I looked at her trying to decide if I tell her or not...just thinking about that time I knew I couldn't tell her, hell I still haven't told my parents or even Jessie or Ashleigh. "I would rather not talk about it ok, come on start stretching okay" I grab her hand and pull her down to join me.
"Oh look girls, the new loser can't even train without having to stretch first hahahaha....only pathetic weak wolves have to strain themselves to be able to fight, pathetic wolves who gain there position through connections should be shot" a voice behind me snickers, followed by chuckles from other girls.
I turn around to see the girl from before glaring down at me, looking her up and down I see she is very focused on physical appearance rather then ability. she has long brown hair flowing down her back, picture perfect make up done and is wearing a bright pink sports bra and bright pink spandex short shorts that leave nothing to the imagination while also wearing a designer pair of bright pink runners that are not made to actually do any workout in ever.
"You must be slag number one, nice to meet you, but any fighter worth her salt knows that without doing a thorough warm up, by the end of the workout you will be lying on the floor wishing to curl up and die, but that again is only if you actually do anything to even remotely be called training" I smiled up at her sweetly.
Sarah chuckled next to me, suddenly a voice spoke from behind me, from the shivers that run up my spine I can give you one guess who it could be.
"Rebecca is right, you girls need to start putting more effort into your training otherwise there is no point in even showing up. hurry up and warm up training begins in five minutes!" I turn and watch as Calvin walks back to where he came from.
When Calvin calls for attention Sarah and I move closer to the front eager to get this thing started, I really wanted to impress these people so I do not spend the rest of my time here looked down on.
"Alright everyone, we will begin with running the ten kilometer track in human form, once you are done you will then do it again in wolf form, no breaks, NOW LETS MOVE!" Calvin and the guys around him take off to follow the track.
Sarah and I take off after them staying right behind them, Sarah looked to be having a bit of trouble with it and I was beginning to worry about her, Sarah manages to stay with us but about half way through she trips twisting her ankle, I quickly squat down next to her and she looks at me confused.
"Hurry up and climb on there is no point trying to go back we are already half way, I will just carry you the rest of the way" I look at her expectantly.
"WHAT NO, I can't I will just slow you down!" she exclaims in shock from what I said.
"oh shut up and get on, you will not slow me down I did this all the time but carried both my girls in my old pack, now GET ON!" I glare at her as she finally climbs on my back.
standing up I position her so I can run easily and take off after the guys, I had to catch up we had fallen behind a short ways, and I was not going to let this small incident hold me back.
