I never heard it coming. The storm that was brewing over the horizon, turning the sky into a charcoal grey. I remembered that day like it was yesterday. I was busy working on my cornfields out in Athlone, Ireland. I had to get the cornfield done but I knew I wasn't going to get the job done when I heard the distasteful rumbling like sound, it's like the sound your stomach makes when you're hungry.
All around me, severe noises started happening. Clang! Boom! I felt the wind starting to get fierce, slightly pushing me backward. I knew I had to move fast but it felt like it was taking ages to even make my way towards the cellar beneath the barn.
The slamming of the cellar door was the last thing I heard for a moment, but I spoke too soon as the whistling of the winds swept through the cracks of the cellar door, while I prayed I was safe from the storm.
