I decided to hide the siblings separately, to avoid as little noise as possible. One would go under my bed, while the other would hide in the closet. Then, during midnight, I would let them out so they could get some fresh air and find a proper place to sleep.

When it came midnight, I let them out when it came to my attention that we would still have school tomorrow. I couldn't hide them in my room because I have a stay-at-home Mom so it would be a matter of time before they were found. Since keeping them at home wasn't an option, I was forced to do the thing that I was trying to avoid, bring us to school.

"So..." I said nervously "Willow, Leaf, how would you like to come to school with me?"

"ARE YOU CRAZY?!" Willow shouted, she then covered her mouth realizing she made too much noise "Are you crazy?! We can't go to school, we're Zombies, everybody would hate us, especially after today,"

"Yeah, what's the use of going to school if the Haven won't accept us?" Leaf continued.

"Well... we're just going to have to make them accept you. I have been devising a little scheme while you were in a closet, Leaf," I said confidently "We are going to start a little protest to help integrate Zombies into society"

"How can we start a movement with only three people?" Leaf asked

"Yeah, a movement with three people is just a bunch of angry people yelling about random stuff. Nobody is going to listen to a bunch of angry people yelling," Willow chastised.

To be honest, I didn't think that far ahead, but Willow was right. With so few people, we are basically downgraded to a bunch of angry people yelling about random stuff.

"I don't know Willow," I answered "I guess we pray that more people will join the cause. YAWN... OK, I'm tired, I'm going to sleep. Goodnight guys,"

I don't quite remember what they said, but I sure I remember voices talking about the protest tomorrow. However, what I am sure of, were two loud thumps in the night.

                                                                     ------------------------------

I, again, awoke to two green heads looming over me, but this time they were excited, I, however, was filled with dread and uncertainty. I had already gone over the calculations in my head, there was only a 10% chance this protest would succeed, and with that, at what cost?

We quickly got ready for school since the protest would require us to get there early. As I walked out the door, I began reviewing the plan in my head

Go to the Field, Chant and Put up the Signs, Make our Demands, Pray to God this works

Go to the Field, Chant and Put up the Signs, Make our Demands, Pray to God this works

I really had to put emphasis on the Pray to God this works part. We got to school earlier than I expected, but it gave us enough time to make the signs for the protest. When we finally finished, I lead Willow and Leaf to the football field where the protest would be held for the remainder of the day (if we were able to last that long).

"OK guys, you can come out now!" Leaf shouted. At his command, what appeared to be hundreds of Haven-Folk and Zombies(Mostly Zombies) came out of hiding holding signs and green t-shirts.

"Guys, you really got all these people together? Just for me?" I asked.

"Well, it was really easy seeing that most of the Zombies were still roaming the streets. We also asked civilians who were kind to us and helping the Zombies to come out. Consider this our way of saying thank you!" Willow exclaimed "Now we are a big crowd of people yelling stuff with signs"

Leaf whispered in her ear, "Willow that's called a protest..."

"Ohhhhh..."

Willow was right, the protest basically was a bunch of people chanting stuff with signs. We all talked a bit, shared our experiences with Zombie discrimination. But to be honest, all of it was really made up off the top of my head, but what can I say, it was my first protest.

Apparently, all of our rantings was effective because the news-reporters came in 30 minutes in. They asked Leaf, Willow and I a lot of questions on why we started the protest and what we think the outcome would be, you know, the dumb questions. This continued for a while until... the Haven called in The Protection Force.

The Protection Force is a highly trained group of men and women who are sent out for important missions such as going to battles or secret spy missions. This force is really hard to get into and only accepts the most physically, mentally and emotionally fit. If the Haven leaders sent if the Force for something as simple as a protest, something really bad must be going on.

The Force came in helicopters. From the ground, it almost looked like an aerial invasion but wasn't exactly the case. One big Force Member shoved through the crowd towards us. He said he was given orders by Mayor Rockflee to bring Willow, Leaf and I to her for a special meeting. We let Willow stay behind so she could continue the protest and to answer questions from reporters. The ride was kind of boring, but at least we got to go in a helicopter.

We arrived at the mayor's office about 20 minutes later, Mayor Rockflee was already on the top of the building so she leads us to her office, which surprisingly wasn't very far away. She lead us in her office and told us to have a seat, now we were sure that she meant business.

"Ambrosia, Leaf, I understand your concerns about letting the Zombies into our society, but it just cannot be done," Rocklflee explained "Can you imagine the panic that would be caused with the assimilation of Zombies, besides they don't know our customs, they are, savages. Which is why you should stop this protest and just let me handle this, once the Zombies are banished from the Haven, everything would be normal..."

Leaf whispered in my ear, "She acts like I am not a Zombie as well..."

I intervened "With all due respect, Rockflee, letting Zombies join the Haven will be amazing for the economy. More Zombies will start more businesses, which creates more jobs, thus solving the surging unemployment rate in the Haven. People will learn how to interact and cooperate with others that aren't necessarily like them. Overall, I think letting in Zombies are a good thing!"

"But people won't accept the Zombies, they would be unhappy. And as Mayor..." Rockflee was beginning to get angry.

"Cut the 'Mayor' crap," Leaf said, "Do you not see the people who are protesting to let Zombies be accepted into the Haven?"

"You make a valid argument, however, the Zombies don't belong here, they need to leave," Rockflee continued.

I now started to get angry, "Do you not remember the Game of Chance, Zombies were once Haven folk too! They should be treated as such! Now if you would just listen!"

"ENOUGH! I HAVE HAD IT! IF YOU DON'T STOP THIS, I WILL HAVE TO USE FORCE! NOW GO!" Rockflee snapped.

"NO! YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO ME! THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT!" I stood up and banged my fists on the table in effort to make a point "Come on Leaf, let's go and continue the protest, if she won't make a change, we will have to force her to..."

I grabbed Leaf's hand and lead him out the door. The first thing I heard was the sound of somebody rummaging through a desk drawer, a gunshot was the last. The next thing I knew, blood was pooling on the floor, I was crying, Leaf was crying, and I was muttering something in Latin. The one thing I remember was saying Ius ad Zombies, I remember nothing after that.
