🌻🌻🌻 Personality: Kara has never been the mom of any group of friends, yet she always seems to be the person who worries about everyone else rather than her own self. Her life focuses on other people's problems while she never has time to deal with own. She therefore constantly is bottling up stress which ends up leading to major mental breakdowns of all her bottled up feelings. But the majority of the time, Kara is a fun ball of happiness. She does not take life for granted and you can see that. She's not afraid to go out there and get what she wants, but that also doesn't mean she's super outgoing. Kara knows what she wants and when she wants it. Meaning, somedays she will go out and party, others she doesn't mind sitting at home, laying on the couch, and watching a movie. She does what she wants and does not care what other people think. She's also incredibly stubborn and once she makes her mind up on something, you most likely will not be able to change it. While she may seem like a lot of smiles and laughs, she doesn't have the best past and at times that will show rather than her usual happy face. It's usually caused by certain triggers, like fights or broken beer bottles.

🌻🌻🌻 Backstory: Kara's father's was never a good guy. Her mother fell for him though somehow. In the beginning he wasn't as bad, just had a bad temper. But Kara's mother, Danielle got her husband, Johnathan into therapy. It helped their relationship a lot, so then they got married.
But Danielle got tired of dealing with his anger issues. He quit the therapy behind her back and stopped going without her knowing. When she found out he'd quit, she basically decided to quit on their marriage and had a one night stand with another man. The next week, Danielle found out she was pregnant. The real father was out of the picture, so Danny turned to the one person she knew could help her.
Johnathan was rightfully furious but he made the wrong decision to help ease his pain. Instead of getting help, he turned to alcohol. He thought it helped but it honestly made everything worse. The abuse started quickly. He and his wife got into big fights. Danielle was in the hospital at least twice for bad injuries unrelated to her baby while she was still pregnant.
But she didn't divorce her husband because she needed him. She wasn't sure she could raise the baby alone.
When Danielle's daughter was born, she named her Kara after her dead sister. The three lived together for years, the abuse only ever getting worse. Johnathan never touched his daughter, not like he hit his wife. He just yelled at Kara. But it was horrible things. He constantly told her she was useless, told her she was weak and a waste of space in his house, told her that he didn't love her and that she was no daughter of his. As a young child, this hurt but looking back, Kara was glad she wasn't his daughter.
It wasn't until she was seven, when the actual abuse started for Kara. It was bad, she always was hurt and she was young so she still thought it was normal. Johnathan was constantly drinking, beer bottles scattered the house, broken on the floor. It was like playing a game of 'the floor is lava' except you tried not to step on the glass rather than the floor. By age 12, Danielle couldn't stay strong for her daughter any longer and she ended up overdosing. She tried really hard, Kara was always aware of that. But her mother just couldn't do it any longer.
With the death of her mother, Kara was left with her father to live out life until she was 18 and could legally move away. She didn't turn him in ever because of threats he made. They were all empty of course but Kara always feared that they weren't and he would actually follow through with what he said.
