Persistence can be both good and bad but for Taeyang, it seemed, it was very annoying. He sat at the back of his English class. Chani and Youngkyun had both taken seats to the left of his own. And to the right of him... there was a little issue he was dealing with.

Taeyang didn't know how or why the teacher wasn't noticing this but Jaeyoon had crawled his way into class and was now laying on the floor next to Taeyang's desk. Not only that but the older student was also making questionable facial expressions "Taeyang-ah... Tae... Taeyangie~" Jaeyoon whispered but Taeyang only tried to ignore him.

His head was resting in the palm of his hand and Jaeyoon had reached up, pulling Taeyang's ear gently "yoo-hoo~" he coo'd causing Taeyang to shift his entire desk away from the coach. Jaeyoon was not having this.

"Think about the benefits playing on a team could get you~" Jaeyoon told him "You need us as much as we need you, Taeyang-ah" Jaeyoon kept his voice low but sickeningly sweet. He opened his mouth wide to blow air at Taeyang but Taeyang took his paper, bawling it up and shoving it into Jaeyoon's mouth as he tried to seem unbothered and paying attention to the lesson.

Jaeyoon spit the ball out and tossed it at the side of his head. Taeyang let out a frustrated sound and by now they had caught the attention of Youngkyun and Chani who just looked questioningly at their friend. Taeyang just shrugged and mouthed 'I don't know'.

"Taeyang- this is for your own benefit! don't waste your highschool life~" Jaeyoon continued trying to persuade him. Taeyang eventually shoved his whole book down onto Jaeyoon's face and turned back to the teacher after whispering "leave me alone!"

Jaeyoon began to pester Taeyang, pulling at his shoes and shirt. Eventually, Taeyang slammed his hands on his desk and stood up, Jaeyoon following with a big smile "If you don't leave me alone I will beat you. Go away!" He shouted angrily. The entire class turned now and the Teacher gave a disapproving look to Jaeyoon "sit down, Taeyang." When the boy didn't comply he repeated the command and Taeyang begrudgingly sat down.

Their teacher then shifted his attention to Jaeyoon "Jaeyoon... why are you disturning my students in class? You should know better." He said, slightly amused "Oh no Mr. Kim- I would never. I love your class and you!" Jaeyoon smiled as he patted Taeyang's head, causing the younger to jerk away with a growl.

Mr. Kim approached the desk and leaned down closer to Taeyang "Why do you not want to join the team? It will be good for you." He offered his explanation. Taeyang just glared up at the teacher with his arms crossed "It's not anyone's business what's good for me." He snapped.

"I think you should join." Mr. Kim spoke evilly and Jaeyoon smiled "You can't pass without an exceptional grade in English class Mr. Yoo" The teacher smiled and Taeyang's eyes widened in disbelief "You can't do that- are you threatening me?" He asked, narrowing his eyes. "Actually, I can." Mr. Kim responded before standing back up "Jaeyoon, I better not catch you in my class disturbing students again, understood?"

Jaeyoon nodded, giving a salute "yessir!" before he patted Taeyang's shoulder who only shrugged him off again "See you at practice, sweetie~" he chuckled and ran out of the classroom before Taeyang could spit anymore fire at him.

Sighing in defeat as the teacher went back to the lesson, Taeyang glanced at Chani and Youngkyun before dropping his head on the desk.

Taeyang angrily kicked a rock as he, Chani and Youngkyun walked along the track. "They can't possibly be allowed to force me onto a team like this!" he growled. His friends opted to stay quiet as they walked. But eventually their mood lightened and the three students were back to joking and laughing, shoving each other playfully. It faded as quickly as it began when Taeyang caught sight of Seokwoo shouting orders at a bunch of boys who were doing some kind of sprints.

He stopped for a moment and just stared at him "That's Rowoon. Or Seokwoo... He practically carried that team up until he got busted up last year. The team didn't make it to the finals without him." Chani had informed him. But Taeyang didn't even see where he could even show signs of an injury. When Seokwoo looked over and spotted the three boys, he took a few steps in their direction causing Taeyang to turn on his heels and leave.

"Keep your back straight when you jump!" Jaeyoon shouted commands at the players as they practiced in the school's gymnasium. He eagerly awaited the arrival of what he called "his new star player".

Seokwoo, approached him, holding the clipboard and notebook as usual "Are you sure he'll even show? You had to threaten him to get this far." He said but Jaeyoon was certain he'd show "he'll be here. I was there! Inseong threatened to fail him. That kid would never allow himself to fail. Damn momma's boy." The older snickered.

The noisy sound of shoes on stairs alerted them that someone was here and Jaeyoon turned to the door in time to see Taeyang appear begrudgingly, followed closely by Chani and Youngkyun.

Jaeyoon was quick to approach him and throw an arm around the boys shoulder, leading him to center court as he called everyone else close "Here's your new teammate!" He shouted excitedly as Taeyang pushed his arm off of his shoulders.

His gaze shifted to Jaeyoon, annoyance present in his eyes "this? Are you sure he's even an athlete?" One player asked as he stepped closer "yep! well... he's physically fit- He's go skill. He used to dance competitively." Jaeyoon stated proudly with his hands on his hips.

Zuho, one of their taller players spoke up "ooh great! I'm sure he'd make a great cheerleader! Yoon- I thought you were bringing us a 'star player'" He asked. adding air quotations and rolling his eyes.

"why I outta-" Chani snapped and tried jumping at the male who was basically twice his size but fortunately was held back by Youngkyun. Jaeyoon blew his whistle, annoying Taeyang who stood too close "shut up. he's gonna do great- You guys just didn't see what me and Rowoon saw!" He said and smiled.

Seokwoo shook his head and pulled Jaeyoon slightly off to the side "Jae... He doesn't want to be here. And what if he's no good? Just drop him, it's no use." He muttered but Taeyang being the way he was had eavesdropped and his ego once again got the best of him.

"Yeah- Might as well. It's not a matter as if I'd be bad at this game. It's the easiest sport I've seen. Pigs could play it." Taeyang rolled his eyes and turned around to leave. Let them fail him, it didn't matter to him.
