Roman managed to get Virgil cleared to leave, helping the sad boy to the car. The two drove home in silence.
Once they arrived home, Virgil was hesitant to go in. He took a deep breath, slowly climbing out of the car and heading inside.
As soon as he entered the door, he was bombarded with hugs and concerned words from his friends, but he never replied to any of them. He just walked passed them and into his room. The others looked at him with worried looks, turning to look at Roman for an explanation.
Roman sighed. "The doctors removed his wings, thinking they were fake.."
Remy and De looked horrified. Thomas bit his lip anxiously. "That.. Is not good.."
"Can't you make him a new pair?" Remy asked Thomas, holding Damian's hand tightly.
"I would if I could, but.. Virgil wasn't from me." Thomas sighed and looked at the group. "Virgil lied about his age.. He was.. The original reaper. He was made back when reapers were made out of Demons, not angels."
Everyone had a looked of surprise. "S-so... Virgil used to be a demon..?" Roman asked, swallowing the lump in his throat.
Thomas only nodded. "If we were to get him new wings, we would have to talk to the guy in uhm... Down there." Thomas pointed down nervously.
De shifted nervously, biting his lip lightly. "I think I know how we can get down there, but only two of us can go.." He looked between everyone. "I think Roman and I should go. It might help convince.. Him better."
Roman and Thomas nodded, Roman going to get ready for the long trip down to Hadestown. Remy pulled De into a hug, worried for him. "Please be safe De.."
Damian nodded, kissing the sunglass wearing reaper on the cheek before going to get ready himself.
Thomas sighed. "Im going to check on Virgil, check if he's alright." He made his way into Virgil's room to talk to him.
