The End of A Forbidden Love

2B narrates as this was something that was true.

Something...

"2B...! 2B...!"

9S says anxiously, as he was running towards the black box signal on the map, it seemed like he was failing to get his destination, 2B was infected and he couldn't save her in time, he was in the City Ruins.

"Nine... S?"

2B says as her eyes were glowing red, a sign that she was infected.

"Ple...ase... Don't... come any... closer." She says as she seemed to be resisting the viral contamination.

Of course, 9S didn't obey.

instead, he would come closer to the poor android, wanting to 'fix' her.

"D-Don't worry... I-I'll fix this... There has to be salvation somehow."

9S was desperate, despite the fact that it would be useless to try to save her at the current stage of the infection.

"9S... Leave me here."

2B says coldly, her body unable to stay under control for much longer, the virus ate away at her systems.

"... No..."

9S replied, his voice faltering as he couldn't believe this.

"I'll do everything possible to help you."

He says, obviously out of his mind, aware of the consequences of his actions.

9S was surely going to try to save her no matter the cost, and 2B knew it was impossible to stop him, but she had to try...

"Proposal: Unit 9S should refrain from actions that would damage his physical health."

Pod 153 had said, recommending him not to do what he was going to do.

"Shut up...! I don't care!"

9S says hastily, ignoring the Pod's recommendations as he didn't have time for this.

"N-No... 9S...!"

2B wanted to intervene but her body wasn't obeying.

Instead, her body was only slashing in random directions, making it easy for him to avoid as there wasn't a direct target she was going after.

"But I can't let you meet your demise like this...!"

He says, not evading any of the attacks that 2B had thrown at him.

"I don't want to hurt you..."

She says, tears forming in her glowing red eyes.

". . . ."

9S didn't respond to her, feeling like there should be more he could do for her.

It seemed like 2B's consciousness was only going to be destroyed by the virus as her body had officially begun to target him.

"G-Gah!"

9S attempted to hack into 2B, obviously failing as she intervened with her meaningless attacks.

He was thrown to the ground, as 2B was so close to killing him...

So...

Close...

But she stopped herself...

"K...Kill...Me..."

She says, her tone glitched out.

Just as she said that, A2 had come out of nowhere and immediately stabbed her through her back...

"A2..."

2B says, looking down at her chest as she could see the metal tip of a blade penetrating through her back as her body collapsed on the floor, ceasing to exist as she felt her life fading from her body.

"Than...k... You."

It seemed like A2 had done the job that 9S was 'supposed' to do, making 9S upset that the person he loved was killed by a deserter and had just taken away his meaning to this meaningless life that was supposed to have a 'meaning', but was only a lie.

". . . ."

Blood covered both the attacker unit and the scanner unit, making it seemed like they both had just killed 2B but that wasn't the case.

A2 killed the battler and made it look like she was attempting to frame him for doing such a thing.

"A2!"

9S says as his expression had instantly become one full of hatred, and even through his black visor covering his eyes, deep hate could be seen in them as he was very... VERY...

Resentful.

"YOU KILLED HER!"

He says, instantly drawing his orange and black blade, named 'Cruel Oath' as the title of the weapon seemed to fit in with the current scene ongoing.

A2, on the other hand, would take the blade that 2B had tried to use to kill 9S and claim it as her own blade to use against 9S, except A2 couldn't do such a thing at the moment, not while there was something that 2B told her.

She cut her long white messy hair, chunks of the strands spread out onto the floor, some going over 2B's carcass, some on the ground, and some even on herself.

"I did what she would've wanted from you, 9S. She would've wanted you to end her life, except you didn't, which caused you to almost die."

. . . .

"Shut up!"

9S responds with insanity resonating deep inside of his body, making him like a monster waiting to pounce on anything that came close to him...

But especially A2.

He'd kill her no matter what the cause was, and...

". . You're only going to get yourself killed . ."

A2 says annoyed by his words...

He should be grateful that he isn't dead because of his own loved one.

". . . ."

She began to walk off, not caring if 9S was going to attack, she was going to obey 2B's final wish.

That angered the scanner unit even more, as he was literally going to kill her right then and there.

He dashed right into her direction, but he stopped...

Something was pulling him back, making him unable to move towards YoRHa Type Attacker Type 2, and kill her right there.

Who was stopping him from destroying that deserter right there?
