5 days before christmas

"HOW EVEN DARE YOU-" Yerim gasped at the woman in the front of her.

"Excuse me if MY taste bothers you?" Soyoung shrugged at the overly dramatic girl, who was still drying the nonexistent tears on her face.

"but chocolate ice cream is superior, everybody knows thaaaat" Yerim whined. "i can not believe you just had to disrespect her like that when the only ice cream flavor you eat is vanilla, how boring can you get-"

She got stopped by a hit on her arm. "STOP DOING THAT OH MY FU-" and she got hit again, in the exact same spot.

"I'm older- no swearing" Sooyoung warned, a playful smirk on her face.

"That's gonna leave a bruise one day" Yerim pouted.

Sooyoung looked around and saw Haseul coming towards them after serving a table. She leaned on the counter and sighed. "There is surprisingly a lot of costumers today-"

"Haseulll ~ Sooyoung hit me cause she doesn't wanna accept the fact that chocolate is better than her boring vanilla ice cream" Yerim interrupted her, showing her her red arm.

"Wait, you literally own an ice cream shop, and you never told us your favorite flavor .." Sooyoung pointed out.

Haseul laughed awkwardly. "I do not really eat ice cream-" both girls gasped. "BUT i do like chocolate mint ice cream, it's like the only fla-"

Yerim and Sooyoung immediately shut her up. "Nope. nuh uh. Haseul no." The young girl covered her mouth in disgust as Sooyoung shook her head.

"What? It's still better than whatever basic ice cream you eat" Haseul defended herself, and quickly walked away.

"can we just settle on ONE flavor" Yerim huffed as she flopped in her seat.

Sooyoung shrugged and turned around instantly making eye contact with a certain person. Her eyes widened as she saw the short girl waving at her from outside the shop. "Uh how- how about strawberry ice cream ..?" She whispered.

"Yeah! strawberries are good too!" Yerim clapped her hands.

Sooyoung ignored her and walked around the counter. "yeah uh.. i-i'll be right back?" she walked to the door quickly, pulling it open.

Jiwoo smiled brightly as she made small jumps closer to Sooyoung "suprise~"

Sooyoung looked around her and back at the shop. Then she faced the smaller girl and sighed as she saw the huge smile on her face. Why does she have to be so cute..

"you're here- and awfully early-" Sooyoung chuckled nervously as she looked back for any sign of her boss.

"Yes!! I thought i'd come early so you wouldn't have to work late at night, isn't that amazing!?" Jiwoo said cheerfully.

"Yeah Jiwoo, that- that's great! But didn't you know i still had shift hours i need to finish.. What would my boss think-" the door was opened behind them and a confused Haseul appeared.

"Um Sooyoung we need you here-" She stopped once she caught sight of the smiling girl standing next to Sooyoung. "Oh heyy you're..."
"I'm Jiwoo!!" She waved cutely.
"I'm sorry Haseul, i'll be right back.. I just need to tal-" Sooyoung quickly said but was cut off by Haseul.
"NO! I mean.. no, your shift is over for today, you can leave" she smiled knowingly.
